What is KMAT ?
Kerala Management Admission Test (KMAT) is the entrance exam conducted by KPPGCA for orchestrating the process of admission to MBA and MCA courses to fill the management quota of seats in the member institutions.

KMAT 2020 Eligibility
Aspirants must have a bachelor’s degree from any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all subjects from any recognized university. The details regarding the eligibility criteria for KMAT Kerala are as follows:
Nationality
- Candidate must be an Indian citizen.
- Candidate should be a native of Kerala.
Educational Qualification
- Candidates should have a Bachelors’ Degree of minimum 3 years duration with at least 50% aggregate (45% for SC/ST).
- Candidates in the final year of the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply, provided their results are declared before the commencement of admission process.
- CAT/CMAT score can also be used to apply for admission in MBA colleges in Kerala.
Age Limit
There is no age limit to take the test.

The candidate applying for KMAT 2019 must pay an application fee of INR 1000

The KMAT Admit Card is compulsory for every student to bring with himself/ herself at the examination time. No one can get an entry in the examination hall without their respective admit card.

KMAT 2020 Preparation Tips
- Candidates can refer to the following books:
- Data Interpretation and Logical reasoning by Arun Sharma
- O.P Sinhal for Quantitative Ability
- Wren and Martin for verbal ability
- KMAT 2015 MBA programme has three parts- Language, Mathematical skills and Basic aptitude.
- Each part has 40 questions to answer within the duration of 40 minutes.The total time to attempt the exam is 120 minutes, which means a student has to answer one question in one minute.
KMAT 2020 Exam Pattern
- The state level examination is conducted in offline mode, it is a paper pen-based test
- 180 multiple choice questions, each carrying 4 marks.
- The medium of the exam is English only.
- The total duration of the exam is 150 minutes.
- 3 sections in this paper were Language Comprehension consists of 40 questions whose duration is 40 minutes, Mathematical skills consists of 40 questions whose duration is 40 minutes, Basic Aptitude consists of 40 questions whose duration is 40 minutes. 4th section is the combined paper for MBA and MCA programme which consists of Language Comprehension consists of 40 questions whose duration is 40 minutes, Mathematical skills consists of 40 questions whose duration is 40 minutes, Basic Aptitude consists of 40 questions whose duration is 40 minutes and Logical Reasoning consists of 40 questions whose duration is 40 minutes.
KMAT 2020 Selection Procedure
Go to the official website www.kmatindia.com. Download application form from kmatindia.com fill up all the details. Payment of DD/Cash Rs 1000. Carry 4 passport size photographs.
- Candidates have to apply for admission to individual colleges/institutions.
- The weightage given to Entrance Examination, Group Discussion and interview is 80:10:10 respectively.
- Based on KMAT Kerala Rank List, qualified candidates can get admission in the participating institutes.
- ASC (Admission Supervisory Committee) will consider the following total score of each exam to prepare the KMAT Kerala 2020 cutoff.

- Candidates qualifying the written round will have to appear for the next round of selection process –Group Discussion followed by Personal Interview.
- Group Discussion: For Group discussion, qualified candidates from the previous rounds are given a topic related to current or business affairs. The duration of the GD usually varies. Candidates’ ability to take initiative and effectively communicate their ideas are tested in this round.
Personal Interview: The Personal Interview round is one on one interaction round where the panelists adjudge the candidates on the basis of their persona and ability to stay focused under pressure. The usual duration of PI round in 10-15 minutes.
