The institute was established in 1988 with the support of the Birla Academy of Art and Culture. BIMTECH is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an 'A+' grade. The college is accredited by Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), USA. Birla Institute of Management Technology Noida has more than 62 faculty members. The total student strength at present is 838. Thus, the student-teacher ratio at the institute is 13:1. The courses are offered in the field of management. The courses offered by BIMTECH are PGDM, PGDM Insurance Business Management, PGDM International Business, PGDM Retail Management, Online PGDM, E.F.P.M and F.P.M. The courses are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). PGDM, PGDM Insurance Business Management, PGDM International Business and PGDM Retail Management programmes are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and are granted MBA degree equivalence status by AIU.
Facilities like boys hostel, girls hostel, library, medical clinic, wi-fi, IT infrastructure, classrooms, guest rooms, bank, ATM, transport, garden, etc are provided by Birla Institute of Management Technology Noida. The institute has a Centre for Corporate Relations (CCR) for placement assistance and internship assistance. The centre also conducts various activities and training programme like personality development training, workshops, resume writing, seminars, guest lectures, etc. BIMTECH also provides many scholarships. The institute has many clubs, committees and societies. BIMTECH Noida has many national and international collaborations.

Birla Institute of Technology (BIT) Noida is one of the ten extension centers of BIT. The Institute offers various Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Doctoral level courses such as B.Sc., BBA, MBA, Ph.D., etc. Admission to certain courses will be done on the basis of the Management and Engineering Entrance Exams conducted at the national level. BIT also conducted its own entrance exam for B.Sc. and MCA courses.
Established in the year 1998, BIT Noida, an extension centre of BIT Mesra campus, is located 15 km away from Delhi. It enjoys its location with immediate proximity with industries like IOCL, Bharat Petroleum, Kribco, PDIL, GAIL etc. BIT Noida offers UG, PG and Ph.D programs in regular mode.
UG programs include BBA, BCA and B.Sc (Animation and Multimedia). Admission to these programs are done purely on the basis of merit. However, candidates with 70%+ in their qualifying exam have successful chances of getting admission.
MBA, MCA and M.Tech are the only PG programs offered by BIT Noida. Scores such as CAT/ XAT/ MAT/ CMAT and GATE are accepted for MBA and M.tech admissions respectively.
MBA applicants will have to go through GD & PI rounds for final admission whereas M.Tech applicants will be judged on the basis of GATE score and past academic profile.
For MCA applicants, an online entrance test will be conducted by the institute. Scores secured in the test will be considered while preparing the merit list.
PhD admissions will be conducted on the basis of past academic marks and written test, also conducted by BIT noida. After submission of the application form, a list shall be drawn for the eligible candidates to appear for the written test and interview. The test shall evaluate candidate’s aptitude, logical reasoning and knowledge in the relevant subject applying for. Considering the overall performance throughout their admission process and past academic marks, a merit list will be prepared.
Once the merit list/ Admission intimation letter is sent, candidates must complete the payment of admission fee and confirm their seat acceptance.
BIT Noida is the only institute in India that provides a Bachelors' and Masters; degree in Animation and Multimedia. This makes it unique and most seeking institute for the field in North India.

College History
Shri Feroze Gandhi, an able parliamentarian, after seeing the 1957 elections very soon grasped that any parliamentarian cannot rest on his laurels but has to effectively nurse his constituency. He thus looked forward to various opportunities for helping his constituents. The proposal to establish a Degree College was first mooted in a citizens meeting of Rae Bareli on June 22, 1958 and four days later the Trust was established. Soon Feroze Gandhi was approached and he readily agreed to extend his help in the project. He knew the importance of education and the lacuna that existed in Rae Bareli which used to be a very backward district with only a few schools and no institution to provide higher education. He was elected as first President of the Rae Bareli Degree College Education Trust. Getting very much interested in the project after his visit to Rae Bareli in March, 1960, he collected over Rs. 1,25,000/- in a very short period for the college. Through his personal meticulous efforts, the College got affiliation from the Agra University and the Rae Bareli Degree College started functioning on August 8, 1960. The college started its journey with five departments i.e. Hindi, English, Economics, Political Science and Sociology, five teachers and 55 students. In the last phase of his life Feroze Gandhi did not spare any effort for the realization of this goal, he dearly cherished. It was in the fitness of things that the college was renamed as Feroze Gandhi College after his untimely death and is being developed as a befitting homage to the departed leader. The small sapling planted by Feroze Gandhi has now grown up into a huge tree with wide spread branches. The people of Rae Bareli will ever remain indebted to him for his efforts in establishing this temple of learning.
