Jodhpur Institute of Engineering and Technology (JIET), Jodhpur is an esteemed and prestigious institution of Engineering and Management in Rajasthan, devoted to the cause of promoting technical and scientific literacy and temperament in the young inquisitive minds right from its inception in 2003. The multi-disciplinary campus JIET is a trustworthy name in Rajasthan as it provides multiple opportunities for gaining insights into professional education through the availability of resources.
The institute is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated with Bikaner Technical University, Bikaner. It is the only engineering institution in Rajasthan (among all government and private colleges) accredited by NAAC with ‘A’ Grade, NBA Accreditation in four UG programs since 2011 (three times in a row) and Autonomous Status granted by UGC. JIET has been ranked first in the state by the affiliating university continuously three times in a row (Session 2018-19, 2019-20 and 2020-21) and ranked as per the QIV ranking of BTU. The institute also has UGC recognition under Section 2(f). The institute runs six UG programs, five PG programs. JIET is also the Approved Research Centre (Ph.D.) of the University in four disciplines.

JIET Jodhpur Admission Process 2021
Jodhpur Institute of Engineering and Technology Admission Procedure:-
JIET Jodhpur offers admissions to B.Tech and M.Tech programmes related to various disciplines including B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering, B.Tech Mechanical Engineering, B.Tech Civil Engineering, B.Tech Electrical Engineering, B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering, B.Tech Information Technology, M.Tech Computer Science and Engineering, M.Tech Power Systems, M.Tech Digital Communications, M.Tech Thermal Engineering etc. The Institute offers admissions to B.Tech and B.E programmes based on REAP, JEE Mains and management quota and to M.Tech and M.E programmes based on the rules and regulations of CAM conducted by Rajasthan Technical University. However, GATE qualifying students will be given more preference. Detailed description of all programmes and its admission procedure is mentioned below.
For B.Tech/B.E Admissions:-
Admissions to these programmes are 70% done through REAP based on 12th marks, 15% on the basis of JEE Main scores and 15% through management quota.
Candidates have to further apply for admissions online on the official website of the Institute.
Application forms have to be submitted along with needed documents and paying the amount of fees.
JIET final admissions to B.Tech/B.E programmes will be offered after the verification of documents and payment of fees.
For M.Tech/M.E programmes-
Students must have a B.E/B.Tech degree or equivalent with a minimum of 55% in aggregate from a recognised institute or university. But GATE qualifying students will be given more preference for offering admissions to M.Tech and M.E admissions.
Admissions are offered through Centralized Admissions in M.Tech (CAM) which is conducted by the Rajasthan Technical University.
Students have to apply for counselling on the official website of Rajasthan Technical University.
Applicants have to submit their forms along with requisite documents and pay the amount of fees.
Admissions to JIET Jodhpur are offered after the verification of documents submitted and payment of fees.
For Ph.D programmes-
Students seeking admissions to Ph.D programmes must qualify the BTU-DAT exam.
Based on the qualifying scores, students have to apply for admissions on the official website of JIET.

Hostel-
JIET Jodhpur offers hostel facilities to the boys and girls separately in different hostels. All the hostel rooms are equipped with basic facilities and furniture for the comfortable stay of students. All the students are provided with facilities like WiFi, indoor and outdoor games, gym etc. Laundry services are also available for the hostellers. The campus is also equipped with CCTV cameras and security guards are there 24×7 for the safety and security of students. Both AC and non-AC rooms are available in the hostels but students have to fill the application forms for hostels separately and rooms are then allocated based on the availability.
Medical-
Students are also provided medical facilities inside the campus as doctors visit the campus regularly. An ambulance is also available for any emergency purpose.
Guest House-
A guest house is also provided by the Jodhpur Institute of Engineering and Technology, Jodhpur for the parents of students and other guests of the faculty members of the Institute. All the rooms are provided with basic amenities like ACs, sofa, TV, refrigerator and attached bathrooms.
Residential apartment-
Apartments are also provided for faculty members by JIET Jodhpur for those staying away from their native places. All the rooms are provided with basic facilities.

The library also has a reading section where students and other readers are allowed to read and refer to books. The library timings are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
