First Reactions

The first reaction that we got after interacting with a few students who took NEET 2018 in Delhi centers from 10 am to 1 pm was very mixed.

Few of the students were of the opinion that out of the 4 sections, Chemistry was the toughest and then followed by Zoology as the second toughest, Botany and then Physics at the last. In fact, this was the trend even last year.

Physics section was of moderate difficulty level and a well-prepared student can score in this section.

One more change in Physics and Chemistry section as compared to last year was that this year the questions in these two sections were more calculation-intensive and time-consuming.

In Physics, approximately 50% questions were calculation-based and 25% were theoretical but required in-depth level of conceptual clarity.

In Physics section, almost equal number of questions were asked from both 12th and 11 class syllabus.

While in Chemistry section, 15 -16 questions were from 11th class and close to 30 questions from the 12th class syllabus.

Out of Zoology and Botany sections, Zoology was tougher and had more questions.

Zoology had approximately 1/3 difficult questions while Botany section had 1/4 difficult questions.

Zoology was the only section that had more questions from class 11th compared to class 12th.
