KL Deemed to be university was established in 1980-81, as KL College of Engineering, which was upgraded to KL College of Engineering Autonomous in 2006 by UGC, and was declared as a Deemed to be University in 2009 by UGC, MHRD Govt.of India. In 2012 as a Deemed to be University the institution was accredited by NAAC with A Grade and later in 2018, was re-accredited by NAAC with A++ grade. In 2019 UGC, MHRD declared this intuition as Category I Institution.

The institutes remains indebted to leadership of our late co-founder Er.Koneru Lakshmaiah, and our Founder Er.Koneru Satyanarayana, both of whose vision has helped in creating this abode of learning, which has emerged as one of the elite institutes of the nation.

Location

K L Deemed to be University is situated in a spacious 100-acre campus, with a built up area of over 20,00,000 Sq Ft., on the banks of Buckingham Canal of river Krishna, the campus is eight kilometers from Vijayawada city. Built within a rural setting of verdant green fields, the institute is a virtual paradise of pristine nature and idyllic beauty. The campus has been aptly named “Green Fields” and the splendid avenue of trees and gardens bear testimony to the importance of ecology and environment. The campus ambience is most befitting for scholastic pursuits.

The new off campus, has come up in 2017 at Hyderabad, Moinabad, Aziznagar Road, near TSPA Junction, on the road leading to Chilkur Balaji temple, with a built up area of 10,00,000 Sq.ft, which is temporary campus, and the permanent campus is being made ready at Bachupally.

The minimum eligibility criteria for M.Tech. program is a relevant BE/ B.Tech or M.Sc degree with an aggregate of 55% marks. MA/ M.Com, MBA and M.Sc programs also require a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline with at least 55% marks in aggregate.

M.Tech, MA, M.Com and M.Sc admission is based on candidates’ performance in academics followed by an interview. In case of M.Tech. program, GATE qualified candidates are also eligible to apply.

MBA program requires a valid score on KL (Deemed to be) UniversityBSAT conducted by the university or score in CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ ICET followed by an interview.

KL (Deemed to be) University M.Phil & Ph.D. Admission 2022

KL (Deemed to be) University offers Ph.D. programs in full-time and part-time modes in several specializations. A master’s degree in the relevant discipline with at least 55% marks in aggregate is the minimum eligibility criteria to file an application for these courses.

Ph.D. application forms can be filled online twice in a year, i.e. in the months of June and December. Students have to participate in the entrance test organized by the university followed by an interview. Selection is done purely on the basis of merit.

KL University Ph.D. Selection Criteria: An entrance test is conducted by the university which tests the general aptitude of the candidates as well as their attitude towards the area of research.

Performance in the previous academic qualifications obtained.
Performance in the personal interview conducted by the university.
The entrance examination will cover all relevant subject matter to the specialization in question.
The reservation is in accordance with Government regulations. Relaxation for sportspersons and armed force personnel may also be provided. The allotment is made for the physically challenged as well.
Based on the performance, a list of selected candidates is announced. The candidates must complete the payment of fees and verification of documents timely to ensure their admission.

Boys Hostel

KLEF has two on-campus girls’ hostels with the availability of standard, air-conditioned, and suite rooms. All these rooms have an attached bathroom. There are seven boys’ hostels with the availability of A.C. rooms and free transportation. Students can choose accommodation for both these hostels from one to four per room.

The library at KL University Guntur has over one and a half lakh books and 500 hardcopy periodicals. Thus, KL University has material to serve all the relevant domains such as humanities, sciences and engineering, law, pharmacy, etc. Students can access the library remotely as well.

Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation, Guntur encourages the students to push their talents in sports by offering them world-class game and sports facilities. Badminton, table tennis, carom, chess, taekwondo, weight lifting, etc. are among the many sports introduced at the KL University.

KL University has a 1,500 square metre, well-equipped, and hygienic canteen. It offers nutritious food and caters to the students and the staff alike. Besides, fast-food stalls and mini cafes are available across the campus.
Medical/Hospital

KL University has a dispensary on-campus. It also has an emergency vehicle to tend to severe health cases. The KLEF dispensary has two physicians who carry out routine treatments and check-up.

Transport

The university has 84 non-air-conditioned buses along with two air-conditioned ones with a capacity of seating 4,400 students. The KLEF buses cover all prominent points, including Vijayawada City, Tenali, Guntur, Mangalagiri, Kankipadu, and Vuyyuru.
