IIT Patna B.Tech Eligibility Criteria 2019

Candidates who are planning to pursue Bachelor of Technology courses from IIT Patna must know that they need to produce their 10+2 or equivalent passing marksheet. A minimum of 60% is a must in 10+2 or equivalent exam. Relaxation of 5% has been planned for the candidates belonging to SC, ST, and other backward classes category. It is to note that the certificate issued must be from a reliable, recognised and known institution/ school/ board. Candidates will also have to produce their entrance exam marksheet along with their 10+2 marksheet.

Only the candidates who have achieved the cutoff marks for the entrances shall be considered as eligible for the B.Tech courses offered by the institution. The entrance accepted for the B.Tech courses are JEE Main and/or JEE Advanced. 

IIT Patna B.Tech Application Process 2019

The Indian Institute of Technology, Patna admission process consists of registration procedure and submission of relevant and related documents. For the registration process, candidates will have to visit the official site of the institution.

With the valid credentials, candidates can register for the IIT Patna admission selection process. Candidates must also refer to the advertisements published in newspapers and on the official site around the month of March every year. The candidates will then be directed to get the admission form along with other related forms either through the official website or through centre of admission at the IIT Patna campus. After the completion of this stage, a list of shortlisted candidates will be released. These candidates will be called for the counselling process and seat allocation round. 

IIT Patna B.Tech Selection/Counselling Process 2019

The Indian Institute of Technology Patna counselling process caters to the seat allocation and final selection of the candidates for the programmes offered by the institution. JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) will be responsible for allocating seats for the B.Tech candidates appearing through JEE Advanced. For candidates appearing through GATE and JAM, the seats will be allocated by the concerned administrative department of the Indian Institute of Technology, Patna.

The documents submitted will be scanned during the IIT Patna counselling process. The final selection of the candidates will be based on the document verification and the entrance exam score submitted by the aspirants. It is to note that the documents submitted must be valid and correct as any imitation or false statement found shall cancel the candidature of the aspirants. Legal actions might also be taken as per the offence committed by the candidate/s.
