Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC), Landran which is one of the most premier colleges was established in 2001. The institute offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the field of Engineering, Business Management, Hotel Management, etc. Admission to CGC Landran is done on the basis of GATE, JEE Main, MAT, Punjab MET scores. The candidates can apply for admission through online and offline modes. Additionally, the institute provides 100% placement assistance to its students. In the year 2019, a total of 5000+ job offers were offered and 500 companies visited the campus for recruitment. The highest package offered to the students was INR 35 lakhs.

CGC, Landran UG Admission 2022: B.Tech, B.Pharm, B.Sc, BCA, BHMCT, BBA & Pharm.D

At the UG level, CGC Landran offers B.Tech, B.Pharm, BBA, BCA, B.Com, BHMCT and BTTM courses in different discipline in full-time mode along with B.Tech in Lateral Entry mode.

B.Tech admission is offered on the basis of JEE Main score and Marks in the 10+2 followed by PTU counselling to Punjab domicile and other state candidates respectively. B.pahrm admission is open for both JEE Main and PTU CET qualified candidates. For other courses, the admission is completely merit-based.

CGC, Landran PTU Counselling 2021

For all the merit-based admissions, admission authorities release the course-wise counselling schedule. Shortlisted candidates are informed for the counselling rounds (with respect to their merit ranks). Candidates have to report at the college along with desired documents (for verification purpose).

For B.Tech and B.Pharm courses counselling rounds are organized by PTU for the selected candidates.

CGC, Landran PG Admission 2022: M.Tech, M.Sc, MCA, MBA, M.Pharm & B.Ed

CGC also offers B.Ed, M.Tech, MBA, MCA, M.Sc, M.Pharm, M.Com courses in various streams along with Lateral Entry to MCA. BE/ B.Tech degree is mandatory for M.Tech while a relevant Bachelor’s degree holder can apply for other PG courses.

GATE qualified candidates are eligible for admission to M.Tech. Apart from GATE, PTU also conducts separate counselling on the basis of marks in BE/ B.Tech. The candidates have to qualify in Punjab MET to secure admission in MBA.

Admission to other PG courses is based on merit list drawn with respect to candidates ‘ marks in the last qualifying examination.

66.6% seats in MBA program are reserved for state quota while 33.3% seats in each discipline are reserved for management quota.

CGC, Landran Registration Process 2022

CGC follows a common application process for all the UG and PG courses as discussed below:

Online Mode:

Visit the official website of CGC and fill the application form.
After filling the form, upload scanned copies of necessary documents along with passport size photograph.
Application fee of INR 1000 has to be paid through Credit or Debit card.
After online registration, students have to submit all original documents along with the admission letter to confirm their admission in the respective colleges.

Offline Mode:

Application forms can also be obtained from CGC campus.
Original documents and 5 passport size photographs have to be submitted to the admission counsellor.
Application fee of INR 1000 can be paid in cash.

Note: No fee is charged from SC/ST students of Punjab whose family income is less than INR 2.5 Lakh pa.

CGC, Landran Scholarships 2022

For SC/ST/ OBC/ Minority Communities: CGC offers Post matric/ Merit cum means scholarships for the candidates belonging to reserved categories (from Punjab state only) and minority communities. These scholarships are offered to financially weak meritorious students.
Centre Government Scholarships: Under this scheme, CGC offers financial support to students with disabilities.
Jammu & Kashmir Scholarship Scheme: Offers financial support to those who have permanent residence in J&K.

CGC Landran Facilities

Library: The library is well equipped with more than 40,000 subjects in various subjects. The college has a membership of more than 10 e-journals and has 125 web-based courses. The central library has a collection of more than 205682 titles and subscriptions to more than 200 journals, magazines, etc. It also has more than 136 video courses recorded by IITs faculties for the students. It can accommodate more than 300 students.

Cafeteria: The cafeteria is well equipped with modern furniture, electrical automatic cooking and storing facilities and serves hot lunch, snacks, breakfast, beverages etc to the students, faculty and staff members. The college also has Subway and Cafe Coffee Day. It can accommodate more than 500 students.

Hostels: The college provides separate hostels for boys and girls. The hostels have semi-furnished rooms with attached washrooms and a common room which is equipped with TV. The hostel provides an air-cooler facility. It further provides 24×7 water and electricity supply, hygienic mess facility etc.

Gym: The college has separate gym facilities for boys and girls. The gyms are centrally air-conditioned. Instructors and trainers are available throughout the day to train the students. The gyms are equipped with proper machines like treadmills, powerlifting machines, etc. The gyms can accommodate more than 150 to 200 students at a time.

Sports Facilities: The college provides various indoor and outdoor games facilities. The college provides a Badminton court, basketball court, table tennis, etc for recreational purposes of the students.
