Sri Guru Angad Dev College has promised to be show excellent education and prosperous life to the pupils.Sri Guru Angad Dev Ji blessed this place by formalising the Gurmukhi Alphabets(Lipi) with the intention to make use of it for thr purpose of imparting education.It was established late Baba Uttam Singh Ji in 1970 to mark/celebrate the 500 birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.Presently,this institution is being run by Baba Sewa Singh Ji Kaar Sewa which is utilising innovative techniques and rich resources to make learning and teaching more glowing.

Initially college was commenced with B.A Arts Stream, but today with the great vision of Plathora Baba Sewa Singh Ji various Courses related with every stream and degrees are being run. Courses at Post Graduate Level M.A Punjabi, MSc.IT, and PGDCA, at graduate level BSc.Computer Science, BSc.Economics, BCA, BBA, BSc.IT, B.Com and B.A are offered in this institution.Selective Subjects like BSc Non Medical, Music Saaj and Computer Application have begun/started by 2015-16. Institution is doing its excellent/outstanding job by beshowing various jobs oriented courses like electrician,refrigeration and air conditioning and diploma in stitching and tailoring which enables the capable students to get career in future. Similarly, In the year 2017-18 one more employment oriented course journalism and mass communication has introduced with great zeal of interest.

For the realistic development of students/learners, sports and cultural activities play indispensable role in their life . This institution has won number of trophies in different competition at University level in the domain of cultural and sports programmes. Under the unit of NCC and NSS, pupils are being trained by indulging into various activities to develop their whole personality and respectful relationships with the society.

Not only academics programmes with innovative teaching ways are imparted to students but also extention lectures are arranged for them to enhance the horizon of knowledge. Various inter-class competitions are organised to make them explore their hidden talent which assist them to develop holistically.

One of the main objectives was to give higher education in disciplined and inclusive environment to the girls. To fulfill this dream girls hostel was build to facilitate them in the college campus. Apart from this, economical bus service is given to the learners of every route to get to college on time and easily.

The proudest moment for the college is getting merit positions in university by the 10 students of different classes in the previous session. College has been announced to be “A Grade” by the NAAC in October 2016 for its well build structure , academic achievements, well organised examination, teacher’s abilities , sports and cultural activities.
