Kongunadu Arts & Science College is situated in Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu state of India. Established in 1973, it is accredited from NAAC and it is affiliated to Bharathiar University. KASC, Coimbatore offers 53 courses across 11 streams namely Arts, Science, IT, Management, Commerce & Banking, Design, Vocational, Hotel Management, Paramedical, Media & Mass Communication, Engineering and across 10 degrees like BSc, B.Com, BBA, B.Voc, BCA.Hostel facility is available for its students. Additional campus facilities such as Math Lab, A/C, Auditorium, ATM, Boys Hostel, Canteen, Computer Lab, Counselling, Fest, Cultural zone are also there.
There are two types of programmes that are offered by the college, aided and unaided. The application form for the admission can be found on the official website of the college. The payment of the same can be done in both offline and online modes.
The offline process for the UG/PG courses asks the student to collect the application form in person from the institute. Next, the candidate has to fill up the form and provide all the required documents. In addition to that, he/she needs to pay the application fee and submit the form by visiting the college before the last date.
The required documents include Statement of Marks, Community Certificate, Passport Size Photographs, Character Certificate, etc.
The college specifies two different sets of application fees for unaided and aided courses. For unaided courses, candidates need to pay Rs 150 (by Cash) and Rs 160 (by DD) for undergraduate courses and Rs 200 (by Cash) and Rs 210 (for DD) for postgraduate courses.
For aided courses, candidates need to pay an amount of Rs 50 (by Cash) and Rs 60 (by DD) for UG courses and Rs 60 (by Cash) and Rs 70 (by DD) for postgraduate courses.

Candidates who are willing to go for the Bachelor of Arts (BA)/Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) course at KASC should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination.

Candidates who are willing to go for the Bachelor of Science (BSc) course at Kongunadu Arts And Science College should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with the respective discipline as one of the subjects in 10+2. English should be one of the compulsory subjects in 12th standard.

Candidates applying to Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) offered by the university should have passed a Diploma in Computer Technology or Engg. Diploma in Computer Science. Students who have completed a Diploma in Information Technology can also go for the BCA course at the college.

Placement Cell in Kongunadu plays a crucial role and is becoming a key department of the institute. With a tremendous growth in number of colleges, and relative increase in competitions among job seekers, the need for our young budding graduates to outline these situations becomes important. This makes the job of the placement wing a challenging one. A full fledged placement cell is functioning in our college takes every effort to expose the students to the wide-ranging career prospects and helps them to march out of our portal with confidence.
To educate students of all departments about our placement cell and its functioning and to respond to their career needs and doubts, holding hands with the placement officer, are five staff coordinators from different departments of our college. The aim of the cell is to ensure that the students to attain the knowledge and skills necessary for an effective job search. Career guidance for students finding it difficult to choose the suitable field of their careers is also given in our placement cell.
A large number of prospective companies are contacted and efforts are made to invite those companies to visit our college to recruit our students on campus. Reputed industrial houses across the country visit our institute regularly for the campus recruitment programmes. The placement cell coordinates quite well with the corporate sector and providing all requisites to facilitate the campus selection programmes. The Cell maintains a very cordial relationship with all the recruiting industries.
The College has provided complete infrastructure for effective functioning of the cell. Placement Cell is provided with all audio visual facilities for all stages of interviews. Training activities are organized in an effort to prepare the students for the campus selection programmes.

The College is situated on Mettupalayam Road, on the north side of Coimbatore City. Adequate transport facilities are available to reach the college easily.
The College is built on an area of 2,25,075 square feet with clean and green environment and is endowed with all facilities. A student who joins our college for under graduate study will get the opportunity to study up to PhD Degree under one roof. The unique Research environment prevalent in the college is igniting the students to do research in their respective fields.
Hostels
There is separate hostel for boys and girls available inside the campus with all the required facilities for students. Different types of fully-furnished rooms (single occupancy deluxe room to 8- bedded rooms) are available in the hostels offering the students a wide range of choices. There are 9 supervisors (5 teaching & 4 non teaching) in the Ladies’ Hostel and 4 supervisors (1 teaching & 3 non teaching) in the Boy’s Hostel to help the students and maintain the hostel.

Cultural Club
The discipline of the folklore protects our traditional culture. The most worth mention is then folk dance among the folklore, folksongs, folktales, proverb, riddles, lullaby, these antes are declining and evading away owing to the growth modern culture. Hence the college management has taken necessary steps to protect and develop these folk themes.
Our college cultural club encourages folkdances and other Indian folkdances such as Karakatam, Kummiatum, Kavadiattam, Oyelattam, Kolatam etc.Karakatam dance by our students is well known and appreciated by the people of South India.

Job Oriented Certificate Course The Club Provides one year Job Oriented Certificate Course in the name of ‘Professional Photography’ from 2006-07 academic year onwards. Twenty students from various departments join and learn up Digital Photography every year. 100% Practical Oriented Teaching is given by the Club Co-ordinator. The students are allowed to “earn while learn” through professional photographic shooting.
Eligibility for the Course The Students who are studying in Under Graduate course can join in their 2nd and 3rd year of course period and PG students can join in their first or second year. Research Scholars can join at any time in their academic year.
Music Club
The Music Club of our College was inaugurated in the year 1995 by Dr. C.A. Vasuki, former Director Finance & Joint Secretary and Present Secretary & Director of the institution. Dr. Rajkumar David, Former Reader in Zoology and Dr. A.A. Sivakumar, Former Principal, are the architects of this vocational center for Music. The generous and friendly support from the management provided the impetus for the phenomenal growth, from its inception, of the Club.
A pioneer in this field, Mr. Joy has been appointed as tutor to train the students in playing different instruments like Electric Keyboard, Drums, Violin, Guitar, Tabla etc. In addition to the above, periodical vocal exercise is also offered by the music club co-ordinators, Dr. R. Manimekalai, Assistant Professor in Tamil (Aided). The trained students of the club are provided opportunities to exhibit their talents during National and religious functions celebrated in the college.
The members of the club perform light music programmes during the Annual Day celebrations. Musical Eve is also one of the special activities of the Club every year. The student members of the Club participate in State and Zonal level inter-collegiate vocal and instrumental music competitions. The Music Club also conducts Carnatic and Light Music competitions to encourage students to hone their skills.
On several occasions, students belonging to the Music Club have won laurels for themselves as well as accolades to the institution by securing trophies, cash awards and certificates. The training provided by the Club also leads to the general personality development of the students.
Eco Club
Ecoclub of Kongunadu Arts and Science College, Dr. M. Aruchami Research Foundation jointly organized a programme on ‘How to avoid dengue’ at Subramaniam palayam on 17.08.2016 by serving pamphlets containing tips and clues to avoid mosquito bite and to avoid dengue fever. In that area, 261 houses were approached by 15 volenteers of Ecoclub from Kongunadu Arts and Science College. Dr. S. Paulsamy, Coordinator of Ecoclub and Dr. T. Baluprakash, Assistant Professor of Botany, Kongunadu Arts and Science College arranged the programme.
