Students can save over 10,000 CAD by taking admission for the first year in NIC and then transferring to another university. The fees for international students differ from that of domestic students, the breakdown of the estimated cost of fees is given below.
Financial Aid/Scholarship
In 2017, North Island College awarded 400k CAD worth of scholarships and bursaries awards to students, 100k CAD more than the previous year.
Emergency Assistance Funds
All students at NIC are eligible for this, it provides funds for students in an emergency situation which would otherwise prevent them from completing their education. Funds may be available to help with books, transportation, childcare, groceries, and other essentials.
NIC Foundation
As a new, continuing or a graduating NIC student, all are eligible to apply for hundreds of scholarships and bursaries. Scholarships are awarded to students with outstanding academic performance while bursaries are for the students in need.
