2. When will JEE (Main) 2026 be conducted?
Session 1: Between 21 January and 30 January 2026
Session 2: Between 02 April and 09 April 2026
3. How can candidates register for JEE (Main) 2026?
Candidates can apply online through the NTA official website. Detailed instructions are available in the Information Bulletin under “Important Information and Dates at a Glance”.
4. Do candidates need to fill a separate application for each session?
Yes. Candidates must apply separately for each session. Currently, applications are open only for Session 1.
5. Can candidates apply for Session 2 if they missed Session 1?
Yes. Candidates who missed Session 1 can apply for Session 2 when the application window opens.
6. Is it mandatory to appear in both sessions?
No. Appearing in one or both sessions is optional. The best NTA score will be considered for ranking.
7. Are calculators allowed in JEE (Main) 2026?
No. Calculators in any form are strictly prohibited.
8. Which registration number should be filled in qualification details?
CBSE candidates should use the registration number mentioned in CBSE notifications. Other board candidates may use Registration/Enrollment/Roll Number.
9. Are DigiLocker documents valid?
Yes. DigiLocker documents can be uploaded in the application form.
10. Improvement candidates: Passed or Appearing?
Such candidates should select “Passed”.
11. What is the eligibility criteria for JEE (Main) 2026?

12. What is the exam pattern for JEE (Main) 2026?

13. What is State Code of Eligibility?

14. What pin code should OCI/PIO candidates enter?
They should enter 111111 in the Pin Code field.
15. What if OTP is not received during Aadhaar verification?
Ensure the Aadhaar-linked mobile number is active and accessible.
16. Will name mismatch affect candidature?
No. Minor name mismatch between Aadhaar and Class 10 marksheet will not affect candidature.
17. Is APAAR ID mandatory?
No.
18. How to capture live photograph?
Refer Step 2 (Application Form) in the Information Bulletin.
19. Will photo mismatch lead to cancellation?
NTA will review such cases. Candidates will be informed if discrepancies are found.
20. Eligibility and certificate for PwD/PwBD candidates?
Candidates must follow RPwD Act, 2016 guidelines as mentioned in the Information Bulletin.
21. What is the UDID card verification method?

22. How can candidates use a scribe?
Guidelines are available in Chapter 4 of the Information Bulletin.
23. What is the basis for choice of cities?

24. What are the medium options for question paper?

25. Is Category Certificate mandatory to upload?
No. Certificate details are sufficient; document is required during admission verification.
26. Is it necessary to send confirmation page to NTA?
No documents need to be sent by post/email/fax.
27. What if exam date clashes with another exam?
NTA will not change the allotted date or shift.
28. How are date and shift allotted?
They are allotted randomly by the computer.
29. Can candidates edit application details?
A one-time correction window will be provided for selected fields.
30. Can application be cancelled after submission?
No. Submitted application cannot be cancelled.
31. What if admit card is not received?
Download from official website or contact NTA helpline.
32. Can exam centre be changed after allotment?
No.
33. What to carry to exam centre?

34. Can candidates leave exam early?
No.
35. How many question papers are there?

No. Gateway charges are extra.
40. How to pay application fee?

41. What if fee payment fails?
Pay again. Excess amount will be refunded later by NTA.
42. How will confirmation page and score card be sent?
They will be sent to the registered email IDs of candidates and parents.
