  CMS College was founded in 1817 is one of the top colleges in Kerala with 21 departments, the College offers programs in almost all academic fields in arts and sciences. It offers undergraduate along with postgraduate courses to students across various streams namely Science, Commerce and Banking, IT, Arts, Vocational, and many others. CMS College has been accredited with NAAC with a CGPA of 3.27. It has secured a rank among the top 150 colleges in the country.  

Marian College, Kuttikkanam Marian College Kuttikkanam (Autonomous) was established in 1995 and is associated to the Mahatma Gandhi University. It is claimed by and overseen by the Catholic Diocese of Kanjirappally through the Peermade Development Society. Marian has a remarkable and advantageous history that it picked up self-sufficiency in a range of 20 years. Marian began with only three undergrad programs and at present the school offers 20 projects, incorporating doctoral projects in Social Work and Commerce.
