Eligibility for B.Tech in Food Technology and Biochemical Engineering

Candidates wishing to apply for course need to meet a set of minimum eligibility criteria listed here:

  • A minimum aggregate score of 45% – 50% in higher secondary examination from a recognized educational Board.

Candidates must qualify the relevant entrance examination followed by the Group Discussion round. After qualifying the GD, the candidate needs to go through the round of Personal Interview for admission to the course.

The main entrance exam held in the country for admission to the course is JEE Main or graduation and GATE for post- graduation. Aside from this, various other State level entrance examinations are held depending upon standard admission criteria of different colleges.

At the end of every year in summers, students are needed to go for summer internship programs. It is a basic necessity to be fulfilled by enrolled students for successful completion of their course and reception of their degrees. Internships need to last for 6 months, completed from a reputed organization and in the relevant department. Stipend brackets for internships differ according to the concerned company’s policies. A few of them are paid and a few are unpaid. Internships may also lead to chances of pre- placement offers.
