Assam Down Town University (ADTU) was set up in the year 2010 with the aim of providing quality education to North East students at an affordable price. The university is recognized by All India Council for Technical Education, University Grants Commission, Pharmacy Council of India, Indian Association of Physiotherapy, and Indian Nursing Council. The university has more than 8000+ students and 250+ faculty members.

It offers more than 60 courses in UG, PG, Ph.D. courses in various fields like Management, Nursing, Pharmacy, Science, Arts, Engineering, Nursing, Paramedical, Hospitality, Allied Health Sciences, etc. Apart from these, there are also Diploma and certification courses. The university has a word-class infrastructure and provides good placement opportunities.

ADTU recorded 90% placements in the year 2021. The highest CTC offered was INR 25 LPA, while the average package was INR 4 LPA. Assam Down Town University B.Tech Admission 2022

At UG level, Assam down town University offers courses leading to B. Tech, Integrated Dual degree courses like B.Tech + M. Tech & B.Tech + MBA degrees in the field of Engineering, Technology and Management to the aspiring students who want to pursue their career in the relevant field. The B.Tech courses are offered in multiple specializations with the duration period of four years. The university also provides a lateral entry in the B.Tech 2nd year for which the duration period is three years. The number of seats depend upon the nature of specializations as opted by the candidates.

Candidates seeking admission in the above mentioned courses are selected on the basis of marks scored in the last qualifying examination in the relevant discipline or with Maths as one of the subjects.

Admission in the B.Tech course is also done on the basis of marks obtained in Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Mains) conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). At the UG level the university offers various courses such as Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc), Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA), Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM), Integrated BBA – MBA, Integrated BCA – MCA programmes. All the UG courses are offered with the duration period of three years except for the Integrated programmes.

Candidates must hold a Graduation level degree with a minimum 45% marks in aggregate from any recognized university, are considered eligible to apply in the concerned courses.

Candidates seeking admission in the above mentioned courses need to study and pass last qualifying examination in relevant discipline. Assam Down Town University offers several Medical courses at Undergraduate level. The programmes are offered under various different specializations. The number of seats and duration period depend upon the nature of specializations as opted by the candidates.

For all Allied Health Sciences Courses, selection is based on merit in the last qualifying examination in the relevant discipline. However, to get through the programmes, the candidates need to be a 10+2 pass out from a recognised institute and should combinedly scored the minimum percentage of marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology along with pass marks in English.

For admission into the M.Sc programme, candidate need to hold a B.Sc degree in the relevant discipline with a minimum of 60% marks. To be eligible for MBA programme, candidates need to hold a Graduation degree in any stream with minimum 45% marks in aggregate.

Candidates who have successfully completed their Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline are eligible to seek admission. However, admission will be given on the basis of marks scored in last qualifying examination.

Valid MAT scores will also be accepted for admission to the MBA programme

At postgraduate level, Assam Down Town University offers courses in the field of Medical Sciences, Nursing, Pharmaceutical Studies with various specializations each. The duration period for each of the specializations is two years. Apart from these courses, the university also offers Master of Science (M.Sc), Master of Social Work (MSW) in several specializations.

Assam Down Town University Distance Education Admission 2022

Assam Down Town University also conducts Distance Educational courses at both Undergraduate and Postgraduate level in the field of Science and Business Administration under various different specializations. The duration period of the UG distance courses is three years while the PG distance course in Business Administration takes two years to complete its duration.

Admission to all the distance courses at ADTU is based on merit in the last qualifying examination.

Students seeking admission to MBA programme, who have appeared and secured a valid score in, any one of the State Level MBA/MMS-CET/GMAT/ CAT/MAT/ATMA/XAT/CMAT or equivalent entrance test at State or National Level, valid for the current Academic year, are also eligible for the programme.

Assam Down Town University Ph.D Admission 2022

At the doctoral level, the university offers Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) programme under multiple specializations. The programme covers various disciplines like Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Basic Sciences, Management, Medical & Life Sciences and some subjects from Humanities. The Ph.D programme takes four to seven years to complete its duration period.

Boys Hostel

Separate Hostels for Boys with furnished rooms, Wi-Fi network internet connection and round the clock power backup is available on University Campus for almost 1000 students. Every care has been taken to ensure the availability of nutritious vegetarian and non-vegetarian food, safe drinking water, round the clock water supply etc. Hostel rooms are allotted on first come-first serve basis and subject to availability. Provision for primary medical attention and first aid has been made in the hostels. For a medical emergency, ambulance facility is available in the campus on around the clock basis.

Based in a land of more than 12000 square feet, the library has spacious reading rooms for those who wish to read the books within the University Central Library. Sports

ADTU ensures that its children focus on complete personality development. For this, they have established spacious courts to practice many sports. It includes many indoor and outdoor sports. The students can play Table Tennis, Pool, Volleyball, Badminton, Basketball, and Football on the grounds that are constructed for them. Additionally, it also has a gymnasium that is packed with all the modern pieces of equipment and other facilities. The Assam Down Town University has also a swimming pool built inside the campus. With this, they ensure that they provide a complete package of sports facilities to their students. Also, sports competitions are held within the university regularly to involve students in healthy competition.
Cafeteria

The university provides its students with a modern canteen within the campus. The canteen is spacious enough to accommodate a large number of students at a time. Additionally, it serves many delicacies ranging from various cuisines along with beverages for the students. The canteen is complete with an LCD TV in the cafeteria. The food is also checked regularly to ensure its quality and is done by a quality control team of the university.
Auditorium

The ADTU also has two seminar halls and one auditorium that has modern audiovisual equipment. They are built to conduct seminars, workshops, presentations, meetings and discussions. The seminar halls can seat up to 250 people at once whereas the auditorium can horse 300 people. This ensures that a humble gathering can take place within these halls and many people can participate. To ensure all-round growth of its students, the Assam Down Town University periodically features many cultural events, guest lectures, and conferences.
Medical/Hospital

The students are also provided with proper medical facilities to address their immediate and urgent medical requirements. They have a world-class Multispecialty Down Town Hospital within the campus that endows all the modern facilities and has 300 beds. The students can easily get General Medicine, CT Scan, MRI, ECG, X-Ray, ICU, Trauma Centre and Laboratory investigation when required. This ensures that the university can deal with emergency cases at the utmost priority and can also assist students with general facilities of medication.
Wifi

The ADTU campus provides a constant WiFi facility throughout the campus that also extends to its hostels. This WiFi network is a more than 20 Mbps leased line and has multiple ISP. So, the students can get proper access to a good internet connection at anytime and anywhere within the campus. This is especially required as it saves time for children to go to cafes just for internet connections.
Transport

The university also assists the students near the campus by providing them with transportation facilities. These facilities are available for all students and faculty members from all corners of Guwahati. The transport facilities work as per the Supreme Court guidelines and are therefore very safe and reliable. These services are provided at a very nominal fee and, are, therefore, a preferred option for students within the city.
Laboratorie

The laboratories ensure that the researchers and scholars can also carry out their activities properly. So, it allows students to do practically what they have learned theoretically and get hands-on experience with the same. In this manner, the students are industry-ready.
