The Ramakrishna Mission Boys’ Home at Rahara, a branch centre of the Ramakrishna Mission, was based in 1944 as associate orphanage with a nucleus of thirty seven boys rendered orphan by the good geographical area Famine of 1942-1943. Since then the house grew in dimensions and activities adhering to the principle of service to humanity within the spirit of worship. Today, the house is an academic complicated with many colleges and schools whereby nearly four thousand students area unit receiving education and coaching in several subjects and trades in step with the ability of every individual.

The college has a Gym facility for the students.
- Library
The College has a library run on modern lines with fully computerized, online access system. Each student is provided with two library cards which are to be returned if the student discontinues his studies at the College. The College Library remains open from 10-30 a.m. to 6-00 p.m. on full working days. In addition to the normal library facilities from Lending and Reference sections, students are also provided with books on long-term loan on payment of 20% of the cost of books as handling charges.

Playing, as is universally known, keeps the body fit. But apart from physical fitness it also imparts many social personality traits in an individual like confidence, leadership qualities, teamwork, etc resulting in the multidimensional development of personality. With these views in mind, our college authority has made appropriate arrangements to ensure maximum involvement of students in the playground during their free time. Many sports items and accessories are available in the college office, which can be collected by the students against the submission of their Identity Card along with a requisition slip containing details of the required sports items.
