Introduction (JEE Main 2024 Answer Key)

Joint Entrance Examination – Main, formerly known as All India Engineering Entrance Examination, is an Indian standardized computer-based test for admission to various technical undergraduate programs in engineering, architecture, and planning across various Govt. & private colleges in India.

What Is JEE Main 2024?

JEE Main is the exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to BE/BTech and BArch/BPlan courses at NITs, IITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), Institutions/ Universities funded/recognized by participating State Governments.

JEE Main is also the eligibility test for JEE Advanced, which is conducted for admission to IITs. The top 2,50,000 JEE Main qualifiers are considered eligible for the JEE Advanced exam. JEE Main 2024 had following three papers:-

Paper 1 is for admission to the BE/BTech course;
Paper 2A is for BArch admission; and
Paper 2B is for BPlan course admission.

The total duration of JEE Main exam is of 3 hours and had Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) and Integer Value (Numerical Value Answer) type questions. JEE Main 2024 Paper 1 will have a total of 90 questions, and Papers 2A and 2B will have 82 and 105 questions, respectively.

The NTA (National Testing Agency) conducted the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) – 2024 Session 1 India on 24 January 2024 (Paper 2A: B.Arch. & Paper 2B: B.Planning) and on 27, 29, 30, 31 January 2024 and 01 February 2024 (Paper 1: B.E./B.Tech.) at 544 Centres located in 291 Cities across the Country (including 21 Cities outside India.

Candidates raising objections against the JEE Main 2024 Answer Key will have to pay a processing fee of Rs 200 to challenge each question.

JEE Main 2024 Answer Key : The Provisional Answer Keys of Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech.), Paper 2A (B.Arch.) and Paper 2B (B.Planning) along with the Question Papers with Recorded Responses have been uploaded on the website https://jeemain.nta.ac.in/ for interested candidates to submit challenge to the Provisional Answer Keys (if any) online by paying non-refundable processing fee of ? 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred Only) per question challenged as per the Procedure given below:-

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the dates to challenge the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main answer key 2024 for session 1. Candidates can raise objections against JEE main answer key 2024 from February 6 to February 8 upto 11 PM by visiting the official website at jeemain.nta.ac.in.

Candidates can challenge the JEE Main 2024 provisional answer key who are not satisfied provisional answer key by paying a non-refundable processing fee of Rs 200 per question as per the procedure.

Candidates who appeared in the JEE Main exam 2024 session 1 can download the JEE Main provisional answer keys 2024 for Paper 1 (for BE, BTech students), Paper 2A (for BArch) & Paper 2B (for BPlanning), along with the question papers with recorded responses from the official website.

In case of correct candidate’s challenge(s), the JEE Main answer key 2024 will be changed and applied to all candidates’ responses and the result will be announced using the modified final answer keys.

No Challenge will be accepted after 08 February 2024 (11:00 PM)

JEE Main 2024 Answer Key : How to raise objections

Candidates can follow the steps given below to raise objections against the JEE Main 2024 Answer Key ( provision).

Visit the official website at jeemain.nta.ac.in
On the homepage, click ‘challenge (s) regarding answer key’
Login with your application number and date of birth and enter the security pin as displayed and submit
click ‘challenge (s) regarding answer key’
Candidates will see the question IDs for JEE Main 2024 Session 1
The ID next to the question under the column ‘Correct Option’ stands for the most appropriate Answer Key by NTA
Candidates should select the questions that they want to challenge and upload supporting documents in single pdf file only.
After clicking your desired option, for Mathematics / Physics / Chemistry for Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech.), Mathematics / Aptitude Test for Paper 2A (B.Arch.), and Mathematics / Aptitude Test / Planning for Paper 2B (B.Planning), scroll down and ‘Save you claim’ and move on to the next screen.
You will see a display of all the Option IDs you have challenged.
Click on ‘save your claim and pay fee’.
Select the Mode of Payment and Pay a non-refundable processing fee @ ₹ 200/- for each question challenged. Make payment through Debit / Credit Card / Net Banking.
