NEET 2024: Introduction

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, earlier known as All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT), is an all India pre-medical entrance test for aspirants who wish to undergo undergraduate medical (MBBS), dental (BDS) and AYUSH (BAMS, BUMS, BHMS, etc.) Courses/programmes in government and private institutions in India and also for those who wish to pursue primary medical qualification abroad.

The NEET exam is organised and managed by NTA (National Testing Agency), it provides the outcome/results to the Directorate General of Health Services under Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and State Counselling Authorities for seat allocation.

NEET Undergradate NEET – UG replaced many other pre-medical exams organised by the states and various other medical institutions/colleges. It is a single entrance exam for admissions to MBBS and BDS colleges across India.

NEET 2024 : Syllabus (Revised)

NMC (National Medical Commission) notified the syllabus NEET. NEET 2024 Syllabus consist of various topics from Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects. Students must prepare for the Neet 2024 exam as per the NMC prescribed syllabus.

Some major topics of NEET 2024 Undergraduate Syllabus:

Biology: Reproduction, Genetics and Evolution, Biology and Human Welfare, Diversity in Living World, Plant Physiology, Cell Structure and Function, Human physiology, Structural Organisation in Animals and Plants, Ecology and environment, Biotechnology and Its Applications etc.

Physics: Kinematics, Physical-world and measurement, Work, Motion of System of Particles and Rigid Body, Laws of Motion, Electrostatics, Magnetic Effects of Current and Magnetism, Energy and Power, Electromagnetic Induction and Alternating Currents, Gravitation, Properties of Bulk Matter, Electromagnetic Waves, Current Electricity etc.

Chemistry: Some Basic Concepts of Chemistry,Structure of Atom, Structure of Atom,
Solid State, Electrochemistry, States of Matter: Gases and Liquids, Chemical Kinetics, Chemical Bonding and Molecular Structure, Surface Chemistry, Solutions, Classification of Elements and Periodicity in Properties, General Principles and Processes of Isolation of Elements, Thermodynamics etc.

NEET 2024: Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must verify their eligibility criteria menioned below, before applying for NEET 2024 Exam:

Age Limit: Applicants must have completed 17 years of age at the time of admission/ on or 31st December of the year of admission and there is no upper age limit for NEET 2024 exam.
Nationality: Indian Citizen, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), and Foreign Nationals are eligible to apply for the NEET 2024 Exam.
Qualifying Exam: It is required to qualify 12th or equivalent exam from any recognized board. Appearing students are also eligible to apply for the NEET 2024 Exam.
Subjects: Applicants must have Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subject in the qualifying exam. Applicants with Biology/Bio-technology as an additional subject in 12th class are also eligible to apply for the NEET 2024.
Percentage: Minimum 50% marks for general/EWS and minimum 40% marks for reserved categories are necessary in the qualifying exam to apply for the NEET 2024..
Applicants who wish to pursue Undergraduate medical courses from foreign colleges or universities are also required to qualify NEET 2024 exam.
Applicants from UT of J&K and Ladakh are eligible for 15% All India Quota for admission through NEET 2024.

NEET 2024: How to Apply

Step-1: Visit the official website of NEET UG 2024.
Step-2: Click on the “NEET (UG) 2024 Registration” option.
Step-3: Click on the “New Registration” button.
Step-4: Fill details on the registration form and click on “Submit” button.
Step-5: After receiving the application number, fill remaining details in the application.
Step-6: Upload the required documents in the application form.
Step-7: Pay the application fee through online mode.
Step-8: After fee payment, the confirmation page will be generated.
Step-9: Take printout of the confirmation page and keep it safe for further use.

NEET 2024: Result

Result will be declared in the month of June 2024 by NTA on the basis of final answer key and applicants can check their results through online mode using Login credentials like Roll number & D.O.B.
