NMAT Cutoff scores are applicable in all of the 35+ participating institutes that accept NMAT percentiles. Ranging from autonomous institutes to private colleges along with University B-schools, each individual setup has its own benchmark of cutoff-score acceptance.

Apart from overall NMAT Cutoffs, sectional cutoffs are also given preference at several institutes that accept candidatures from NMAT appearing aspirants. Citoff will be announced after NMAT 2020 Result Declaration.

The official cutoff for NMAT some of the prominent institutes will be post declaration of NMAT Results. To address queries of NMAT 2020 aspirants, we have analysed the cut off trends of the entrance examination of previous years’. Read the article to know more about NMAT Cut Offs.

  1. NMAT cutoff for top MBA colleges like VIT, XIMB, NMIMS goes in the range of 92-96 which is fairly high.
  2. Based on the previous year paper analysis, 77-83 questions should be solved in 120 minutes.
  3. A normalized score of 200 equivalent to around 91.1% is required to get into NMIMS Bangalore whereas for NMIMS Mumbai, score of 208 and a percentile of 94% is needed.
  4. On the other hand, 90% is required for NMIMS Hyderabad, XIMB and 70% for MISB Bocconi.
  5. A student who wants to score above 99 percentile must get a score of around 230 while 95 percentile can be achieved by scoring 212 marks. A score above 200 would get you around 90 percentile.
  6. Priority should be to attempt 80 questions with 85% accuracy.

Determination of cut off is made by each participating college for admission into its MBA/PGDM programme. Some institutes release their cut-offs in scores while some release it in the form of percentile. Candidates who meet the cut off criteria proceed with further admission process including Group Discussion (GD), Written Ability Test (WAT), and Personal Interview (PI).

Various parameters are taken into consideration while deciding the cutoff for NMAT:

  • Number of seats available in a particular course.
  • The difficulty level of the exam.
  • Number of applicants for NMAT 2020.
  • Total number of candidates who actually appeared for the exam.
  • Previous years’ cut-offs and admission trends.

The selection process for admission to MBA/PGDM programs via NMAT 2020 may be different for different participating institutes. NMAT 2020 Important Dates

GMAC will release NMAT 2020 Results in January 2021, after which the official cut-offs will soon be made public. Students will be able to download their scorecard from March 2021.
