Northern Lights College is a post-secondary community college. It was established in 1975. The medium of education is English language. It is located in Canada’s third-most populous province British Columbia, Dawson Creek.

It has four campuses namely, Dawson Creek, Fort St. John, Fort Nelson, Tumbler Ridge and Chetwynd.

Atlin

  • It is located in Northwest corner of British Columbia.
  • It offers a wide range of highly interactive online courses, such as computer programming, computer courses etc.

Northern College Application Process

Chetwynd

  • It is approximately an hour west of Dawson Creek.
  • It offers programs for full-and part-time students, such as Trades and Apprenticeship, Workforce Training/Continuing Education etc.
  • Most of the programs have been designed for those who need to continue post-secondary education, and also for regional job market.
  • It also offers various facilities to its students such as Aboriginal Advisor services, computer/internet access, bookstore, recruiting, financial aid etc.

Pre-requisites

  • Transcripts of secondary and post-secondary education
  • IELTS score
  • Application to Write the Canadian Adult Achievement Test (CAAT)
  • Application to Write the NLC Writing Assessment

How, when and where to apply?

Canadian citizens can apply either online or offline. Non- Canadian citizens can apply through contacting the International Education Department.

To apply online

  • Register for a course, by contacting the students services
  • Register for Workforce Training/Continuing course by telephone using Visa or Mastercard or by Debit or Cash in person at any Northern Lights College Campus.
  • Send the filled out “Authorization to Invoice” form along with “Registration Form” to either the fax or requested email address.

To How to Apply In Person

  • Print off the appropriate registration form
  • Submit the completed application form, transcripts of secondary and post-secondary education, and any other required information specified in the program’s Admission Prerequisites.
  • After receiving the Letter of Acceptance, pay the deposit fee at Student Services.

For non-Canadian citizens
