OVERVIEW
The Koneru Lakshmaiah Education, also known as KL University, was established in the year 1980. The institute is located in the Vaddeswaram in the Guntur District of Andhra Pradesh. The institute has also been awarded many awards like in 2018 the KL University is been awarded as the No.1 Deemed University in Andhra Pradesh. In 2018, the institute has also been ranked as the 9th Best Private University in India. KL University provides a calm environment for the student for education. The campus has been aptly named “Green Fields” and the splendid avenue of trees and gardens bear testimony to the importance of ecology and environment.
KL University offers both UG & PG courses. The courses offered by the KL University are B.Tech, BBA, B.Des, BCA, B.Com, B.A, B.Arch, B.Pharm, MCA, M.Sc, MA, MBA, M.Com etc. are some of the course offered by the KL University. For the admission in the Under Graduate Program in GL University, the applicant should have passed 12th with minimum 60% marks and for the postgraduate program, the applicant should have a graduate degree from any recognized university. For M.Tech
KL University Application Process 2020
Candidates aspiring for admission to KL University can either apply offline or online as both are accepted by the university. The admission process is the same for all the UG and PG programmes available at the university. The online application can be filled through the official website of the university. The candidate further has to click on ‘Online Application Form’, fill the same and pay an amount of Rs 1,100. Credit/Debit and Net-Banking are accepted by the university.
Candidates who choose the application fee online need to get the application form in person the university’s admission office or from another location that has the authority to give application forms to candidates. Next step is for the student to fill the application form and get it delivered to the address of the university along with the application fee in the form of Demand Draft of Rs 1,100. The same should be drawn in favour of KL (Deemed-to-be) University which is payable at Vijaywada.
KL University M.Tech Eligibility Criteria 2020
Candidates who seek admission to the four-year B. Tech at the university should have at least 55 per cent marks in the corresponding discipline of Technology or Engineering. For M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering programme, candidates with M.Sc or B.Tech degrees in any Branch of Engineering are eligible.
For M.Tech in Bio-Technology, aspirants who have secured 55 per cent marks in B.Tech or B.E in Leather Technology/Chemical Engg/Bio-Tech/Bio-Chemical Engg/Industrial Bio-Tech./Bio-Informatics) or B.Pharm. or M.Sc.(Ag.)/M.V.Sc./M.Sc. in any branch of Life Sciences.

Selection for the M.Tech course offered by KL University is done on the basis of the candidate’s GATE score and spot admissions are based on the previous academic performance of the candidate. Special preference will be given to students who have qualified GATE.

KL University provides a scholarship in the form of a concession in the tuition fees of the student annually. College offers both Merit Scholarships and Social Welfare Scholarships to students who have a good academic record. KL University will grant a concession in fees on the basis of scores obtained by students in the entrance exam like KLU Engineering Entrance Exam(KLUEEE), JEE Main, JEE Advanced & EAMCET
The Fee concession is only applicable to the students of the year 2018 with Intermediate pattern (10 + 2). This scholarship is only applicable to the UG programs and for the student who seeking admission into the MBA program should have secured Rank in the Entrance exam and have a good percentage, only then one scholarship can be applied to the PG program. And as For the scheduled castes, SC / ST/ BC the Scholarships is in addition to Merit Scholarships.
In the KL University, the student can also prevail 100% Fee Waiver in the Sports/ NCC/ Cultural events. But the student must bring the relevant certificates for the availability of the scholarship.
