The NTA updated the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test2024 cutoff along with the revised scorecards on July 26, 2024. In comparison to the initial cutoff released on June 4, 2024, the scores have been lowered by two marks across all categories.
When looking at the previous year, the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test 2024 qualifying cutoff has seen an increase for every category. This rise is attributed to a significant number of high scorers, resulting in a higher cutoff than last year. Consequently, the cutoff for government MBBS colleges is also expected to rise. The results for the first three rounds of NEET 2024 counselling have been published, revealing the institute-wise cutoff for the first round.
While the NTA has announced the qualifying cutoff for NEET 2024, the specific cutoff for government colleges will be determined by the counselling authorities after the counselling process concludes. The counselling began on August 14, 2024, with the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) providing a detailed schedule and guidelines. Currently, four rounds are planned, set to conclude by November 5, 2024. Some states have already completed their fourth round of NEET 2024 State Counselling for the 85 percent State Quota seats. The institute-specific cutoff for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test 2024 will be disclosed by the counselling authorities or participating institutes following the completion of the counselling process or individual rounds.
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test 2025 examination is expected to take place during the first week of May 2025. Aspirants gearing up for next year’s test should review the cutoff marks from previous years to better understand their chances of admission based on different ranks or score ranges.
