Anna University of Technology, Madurai was established in 2010. This university is of affiliating type and the University plans to have collaboration with national and international Universities and Industries for research projects and student exchange programs. The Anna University of Technology conducts higher education which is viewed as a long-term social investment for the promotion of economic growth, culture, social cohesion, equity, and justice. The youths who belong to socially and economically backward class need to be encouraged to access higher education in large number by offering affordable higher education. Vivekananda College,Tamil Nadu

Vivekananda College was established in 1971 by Swamiji Chidhbhavanandhaj. Vivekananda College is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) as an ‘A’ Grade college. Also, the college is recognised as a “College with Potential for Excellence” by the University Grant Commission (UGC). The college is affiliated with Madurai Kamaraj University. Vivekananda College follows the gurukula pattern and is a boy’s only college. The college aims to teach spiritual, ethical, moral and social values to the students and to maintain higher standards of education at Vivekananda College.

The campus is spread across 40 acres of land and provides different facilities to the students and faculty members of Vivekananda College.
