TYPE : Government Polytechnic College, Amritsar OverviewCollege campus is spread over 25 acres and the open areas are coverd by different -plants -ornamentals, medicinal, timber & fruiting like Alstonia, Cassia, Fistula, Terminatia, Chebula, Eucalyplis, Eugenia, Guajava indica, Tbellerica, Tectona grandis, Azadirachta, Hibiscus, Tabernaemontana, Rosa etc. Govt. Polytechnic College, Amritsar is the biggest, oldest Institute and have professional, well qualified and highly experienced faculty.This Polytechnic has been awarded the title as a Center of Exellence. The Institute was started in Established In : 1965 with two branches of engineering i.e Mechanical Engg.& Electrical Engg. Later on Civil Engg., Production Engg.& Computer Engg. had been started. Institute is also running Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy. Govt. Polytechnic College is affiliated with Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training, Chandigarh. To create a center for imparting technical education of international standards and to equip the students with appropriate attitude, knowledge and skills for their chosen vocation and inculcate values required for the dynamic corporate environment. Our endeavor is the attainment of holistic development of an individual through academic excellence and professional competence, personal, inter-personal and social skills, having capacity to provide innovative and effective contribution to its employer organization compatible with our national aspirations. To create an understanding and regard amongst our students for human values, pride in their heritage and culture besides a keen sense of right and wrong.View MoreView Less
