Kasturba Medical College is one of the top medical institutions in India. This institute was established 64 years ago and is a constituent part of Manipal Academy of Higher Education. It was the first self-financing college and is a prominent research centre in India. The institution is located in the Mangalore and is recognized by the Medical Council of India. KMC is known globally for its quality education.
The institute has been ranked by various agencies, for example, The Week 2016 ranked Kasturba Medical College as 6th among top private colleges in the south zone and 9th top medical college in India. All the courses offered by the college are approved by MCI and affiliated to Manipal University.

Given below is the step by step process to apply for MBBS admissions at KMC Mangalore:
- Candidates seeking admission in MBBS course at KMC Mangalore must first register online for NEET exam on the official website. After the registration process, a unique user ID & password will be generated and sent to the candidate’s registered email ID and mobile number.
- After that, candidates have to fill the choices of course and colleges according to their preferences. Then, candidates have to click on the save button to lock their filled choices.
- Once the choices are filled, candidates will receive an SMS or email regarding allotment of course & college. The seats will be allotted as per the choices.
- The candidates can also modify the choices by simply entering the login credentials on the website.
- After the counselling, candidates have to report the allotted college along with the downloaded allotment letter and documents in original with one set of photocopy.

For admission in MD/MS courses, candidates should have passed in MBBS degree with 50% marks from an Institution/University recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI). The applicants must have a one-year compulsory rotatory internship.

- First, the candidates must register themselves for the NEET exam on its official website.

To apply for M.Sc admissions at KMC Mangalore, candidates first need to register for the Manipal Entrance Test (MET). After the registration process, the candidate has to pay the application fee. All applicants can book their entrance test slots in the Online Test Booking System (OTBS) based on the availability of seats, from the list of cities provided. The slots are booked on the first-come-first-serve basis. Also, slot once booked cannot be changed under any circumstance. OTBS will generate the e-hall ticket after the completion of the slot booking procedure. A copy of the e-Hall ticket will be emailed to your registered email id. As soon as the test is submitted, the result is displayed on the screen. The seats will be allotted based on the MET score.
KMC Mangalore M.Sc. Selection Process 2019

Kasturba Medical College is spread in the sprawling area of 31 acres. The college is located in Mangalore, Karnataka. The college has an impressive infrastructure. The college consists of seven big air-conditioned lecture halls which are installed with modern audio-visual teaching aids including multi-media projectors, screen, etc for a better understanding of the subjects. In the departments of Anatomy, Physiology, and Biochemistry, there are two lecture halls of capacity 250 each. The Medical Education Unit also conducts various orientation programs for students.
The institute also provides Simulation and Cardiology Labs, which provide an opportunity to learn professional skills on training manikins. More than 100 trainers are available to train undergraduate and postgraduate students in Medical, dental and allied health fields.
The college also provides hostel facilities for boys and girls with all the basic amenities. The college central library is well-stocked and is spread over 13,950 sq meters where 1207 students can be accommodated at a time. The library has a high range of databases on the campus network and OPAC related access to its vast collection. There is a separate audio-visual room, computer lab, group study area and private study area in the college library. The library consists of 45,572 text and reference books. The college also has a digital library where 349 both Indian and International journals are subscribed annually.
The hospitals at KMC have the best teaching aids with the best practical knowledge. In addition, the Manipal Academy of higher education has140 international collaborations across the globe and facilitates E-learning as well.
