Indian Institute of Management Bangalore concluded its final placement drive for the PGP, EPGP, and PGPPM programs. The PGP batch of 2020 witnessed a 100% placement record as 429 students bagged over 518 placement offers made by 120+ recruiters.
The 2019-2020 Placement season ended with the Management Consulting companies emerging as top recruiters with 37% of placement offers.
With regard to the EPGP program, over 67 offers were made by 26 companies. The average CTC bagged by the candidates was of INR. 29.88 LPA.
For the PGPPM program, 3 out of 9 students successfully grabbed some impressive job opportunities.

IIM Bangalore Placement 2020 witnessed 518 offers rolled out for 429 PGP students. The average domestic CTC offered to the students was of INR. 26.18 LPA.
The EPGP department hosted over 26 recruiters who offered 67 job opportunities to 75 students from the 2020 batch.
For PGPPM, of the nine non-DOPT candidates eligible for placements, 6 students were still without any offers in hand. Two of the students had job offers from their Pre-IIMB organization or were on a sabbatical while one student rejected the job offer for personal reasons.

This year the PGP batch size consisted of 432 students out of which 429 were successfully placed under different sectors of the industry. A total of 216 PPOs were offered out of which 149 were accepted by the students.
The recruitment drive concluded with consulting companies emerging as top recruiters with 147 placement offers. Boston Consulting emerged as the top recruiter with 23 offers followed by Bain & Company with 20 Offers.
18 out of the total placement offers included international companies that offered an average CTC of INR. 32.10 LPA and a median CTC of INR. 26 LPA.
From the following graph, it is evident that most of the students got placed in Management Consulting followed by General Management and Information Technology.
191 offers were made in the Management Consulting Sector led by BCG with 23 offers. Other leading Consulting companies which made placement offers in good numbers included Bain & Company with 20 offers; Accenture Strategy -18 offers; Amazon-16 offers; Kearney -15 offers; McKinsey & Co. and PwC Tech with 14 offers each.
Prominent recruiters in the IT sector who made 72 offers include Microsoft IDC, Sprinklr, Amagi Labs, Browserstack, Byju’s, Cisco, Infoedge, Tech Mahindra, Google, and etc.
The 67 offers made in the fast-growing General Management space included Aditya Birla Group leading with 8 offers followed by Adani Group, Vedanta, Capgemini, Tata Administrative Services, Zee Entertainment, Genpact, JSW Group, and etc.
Students opting for Sales and Marketing roles received 57 offers and were recruited by major consumer goods firms led by Anheuser-Busch InBev, Asian Paints, FIITJEE – EdFora, Procter & Gamble, Bajaj Finserv, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, Emxcel, Tata Sky, Colgate Palmolive, ITC, and etc.
There were 52 offers overall in the Corp. Finance domain. Amongst banks, Goldman Sachs made a maximum of 8 offers followed by Avendus Capital, JP Morgan and Allianz Benelux. Other recruiters also included IDFC First Bank, Bharti Financial Services, ICICI, Kotak Mahindra, Wells Fargo, HCL, Landmark, Motilal Oswal Group, and Prime Ventures.
