Eligibility

The minimum eligibility to apply is 50% marks in class 10 and 10+2 along with 50% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects at 10+2 level.

For admission through the Non-examination pathway, candidates must have 50% marks in 10+2 as well as in PCM subjects for board merit and 50% marks in 10+2 and PCM subjects for JEE Main merit.

The merit of JEE Main will be declared on the website of UPES after the declaration of JEE Main Result. As per the result of JEE Main centralized counselling will be conducted through Merit Ranking.

Selection Process

UPES admission is based on UPES Engineering Aptitude Test (UPESEAT) through the examination pathway and also based on JEE Main/10+2 merit through the Non-examination pathway.

Admission Eligibility based on JEE Main Merit

Minimum 50% marks in class 10th and 12th and minimum 50% aggregate marks in PCM at 10+2 level.

Admission Eligibility based on Board Merit

Minimum 80% marks in class 10th and 12th and minimum 80% aggregate marks in PCM at 10+2 level.

Key Points:

Candidates born only after October 1, 1998 are eligible to apply for UPES admission in several courses.
80% seats are filled through UPESEAT followed by centralized counselling.
20% seats shall be filled through board / JEE Main merit category.
In case of vacant seats in the non-examination pathway, the university also fills the seats through UPESEAT.
UPES also has the right to conduct further physical (paper-pencil test) / online test for admission in case of vacant seats.
For the Non-examination category, candidates must submit their 10+2 and JEE Main score to participate in the selection process.
Candidates from Uttarakhand State Board should have 80% marks in 10+2 and PCM. They should also be ranked within 150 in UK board to be eligible.

UPES M.Tech Admission 2022

UPES offers a two-year M.Tech course in 12 different specializations. The minimum eligibility to apply in is a BE/B.Tech degree from a recognized university.

Candidates appearing in their final year examinations are also eligible for UPES admission by providing the proof of eligibility.
Candidates with a compartment in any of their subjects are not eligible for UPES admission.

The university offers 2- years M.Sc at PG level and B.Sc and B.Sc (Hons) at UG level for a duration of 3-years. The minimum requirement for a PG program is 50% marks in B.Sc/ B.Sc in Agriculture. While, the eligibility for UG programs is 50% marks in class 10th and 12th.

The university offers BA, BA(Hons) and MA under the School of Management. The eligibility for students interested in BA and BA (Hons) courses is 50% marks in class 10th and 12th. While the eligibility for MA course is 50% marks in class 10th, 12th and Graduation.

UPES offers Ph.D. courses through full-time and part-time modes in a number of specializations. The minimum eligibility to apply is a Master’s degree with 60% marks in the relevant field. UPES admission to Ph.D. is done on the basis of Research Entrance Test (RET) conducted by UPES, followed by an interview. UPES 2022 Registration Process 2022

The application form can be filled online for all UG & PG courses offered by UPES. Students are advised to follow the below-listed steps to apply for the courses offered by UPES: Online Application:

Visit the official website of UPES and click on ‘UPES Admission’ tab on the menu bar.
Click on ‘Online Application Form’ from the drop-down menu.
Click on your status whether Indian Resident or Foreign Resident.
Fill the details requested and click on ‘Submit’ button.
After form submission, you will receive an e-mail from UPES to verify your e-mail address & to create an account on UPES website.
Now login to the website and fill rest of the details.
Submit the application form and pay the application fee of INR 1350 by Credit/ Debit Card or through Net-Banking.
Save the duly filled application form for future reference.

UPES Dehradun Placement

UPES Dehradun have started its 2021 placement drive. More than 500 recruiters visited the campus. The major recruiters included Deloitte USI, Larsen & Toubro Infotech Ltd, Wipro Limited, Accenture GEP Worldwide etc. More than 3000 recruiters were placed. The highlights of the placement drive are mentioned below:

800+ students received multiple placement offers.
Students from B.Tech programmes have achieved 100% placements.
Schol of Engineering & School of Computer Science have also achieved 100% placement record.
More than 700 students from the School of Engineering were placed.
800+ students from the School of Computer Science received placement offers.

UPES Dehradun Scholarship

UPES provides 5% seats in each program for a 25% tuition fee waiver in the 1st semester. Following is the weightage criteria of the institute:

Minimum 80 percentile in CAT/XAT
Minimum 90 percentile in MAT, NMAT, UPESMET and CMAT

Scholarship Policy

Scholarship seats are limited and will be awarded after the commencement of classes.
The mentioned percentiles are only the eligibility to apply for scholarship.
Candidates securing the above percentages are required to fill the UPES Application form.
In the absence of relevant academic scores, scholarship application will not be considered.
The final decision of granting scholarship is with the scholarship committee. The management reserves the right to change the scholarship policy as per their discretion.

Domicile Benefits

UPES has provision for providing 33% concession on the Tuition Fee for Uttarakhand domicile students on merit-cum-means basis, to be decided by the University subject to fulfillment of the following conditions by the student:
1. The student’s gross annual family income should not be more than INR 8 lakhs. The student should possess necessary documents attesting this fact
2. The student should be in possession of a valid ‘Sthai Niwas Praman Patra’/’Mool Nivas Praman Patra’/’Adhiwas Niwas Braman Patra’ from Uttarakhand state.
