Mrs A.V.N. School has the special qualification of being one of the chosen few universities serving splendidly the instructive and social needs of South India all in all and Andhra Pradesh specifically. Not many universities in our nation can flaunt having delivered a more extravagant and more variegated graduated class than this multi year old organization. Established in 1860 as a school, this chief foundation developed with the help of the open particularly the zamindars of that time. It picked up status of a High School in 1886 with an European Head ace, Mr E. Winckler, who turned into the Principal in 1878 when it was raised to the status of a school named Hindu College. Different Principals who succeeded him were Messers H.H. Anderson, R.S. Sheppard, W. Ramaiah, P.T. Srinivasa Iyengar were in charge of high remaining of the College. The College along these lines came to be known by her name Mrs. A.V.N. School from that point forward.
