Desh Bhagat University, Fatehgarh Sahib was established under the Punjab Government’s Desh Bhagat University Act. The University’s founding spirit is derived from freedom fighter Sr. Lal Singh Ji, who fought for India’s independence and was awarded the “Tamra Patra” by the Government of India in 1972 for his efforts in social work and his services in the freedom struggle. Thus, the name Desh Bhagat was considered. The University was founded to achieve excellence in higher education, as envisioned by Sr. Lal Singh Ji.
The DBU campus is located in Mandi Gobindgarh, Punjab, India. The University was founded with the ambitious goal of achieving excellence in higher education by offering young students a distinct and one-of-a-kind mix of academic, professional, and personal growth.
Desh Bhagat University has signed various Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) in India and internationally to provide joint research, teaching, and other services. The University signed several Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with nearly all of its schools, including Agriculture, Applied Sciences, Commerce and Business Management, and Engineering.
