CMS College of Science and Commerce, Coimbatore was established by the CMS Educational and Charitable Trust, a non-profit organisation in the year 1988. It is also known as CMS College. In the year 2007, the college received the accolade of autonomy. The institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, New Delhi and is recognised by the University Grants Commission. The college was ranked 82 in the college category by the NIRF in the year 2020. The college is managed by Dev Samaj Council under the dynamic leadership of Sh. Nirmal Singh ji, the chairman and secretary, Dev Samaj Council. Dev Samaj College of Education takes pride in conceding that it is the first college in the northern region to be recognized by NCTE in the year 1997 and it is also the first teacher education college in the northern region to have been accredited with four stars by NAAC. The college was also awarded with grade 'A' in it second cycle of assessment (Reaccreditation) in 2010. The college offers four programmes B.Ed., M.Ed., Post Graduate Diploma in Guidance and Counseling and Certificate Course in Human Rights and Value Education. The core curriculum of all the four programmes also includes practicum/work based learning. Since the college has to train its students in teaching learning process, it does have a good linkage with the schools in the city. The practice teaching plans are developed in partnership cooperatively involving the school staff and mentor teachers. During practice teaching period, the school subject teachers also observe the lessons of the student teachers. The heads of the schools interact with the students and give overall feedback about the performance of the student during teaching practice. The college has also initiated “Programme Study Centre of IGNOU” (06016P) in 2103-2014 under which a number of programmes being run through distance learning mode such as B.Ed., M.A (Education), CIG, CPVE, PGDEMA and PGDHE. In addition to the existing courses prescribed by the Panjab University, Value Education forms a vital part of curriculum to make students aware of the teachers' responsibility in improving the moral fabric of the society. Educational and Research Institute Chennai Tamil Nadu Aiming to bring about change and progress through education, the Tmt.Kannammal Educational Trust was constituted in 1985 and started Thai Moogambigai Polytechnic College. Within three years of its inception, Dr. M.G.R. Engineering College was founded in 1988, and the Thai Moogambigai Dental College was started in the year 1991. The English and Foreign Languages University

The English and Foreign Languages University, the first language institute in the country was established to improve the standards of teaching English in the country. The Institute was the brainchild of the first Prime Minister of India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. The English and Foreign Languages University was first set up in the year 1958 in Hyderabad with the name Central Institute of English and gave training to the teachers of English.

In 1973, The English and Foreign Languages University got the status of ‘Deemed to be University’ and later on in 2006-2007 it was given the status of central university. The English and Foreign Languages University not only focuses on the English language, but it is also dedicated to 10 other foreign languages namely - Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Japanese, Korean and Persian. EFLU was accredited by NAAC in the year 2000 and again it got re-accredited with a grade of ‘A’ in 2006. There is a total of five English and Foreign Languages courses offered across three degrees - BA, MA and MMC. CUET UG and CUET PG are considered for admission to the various UG and PG programmes. As per the latest The English and Foreign Languages University admission notification, CUET results have been declared by NTA on the official website - cuet.samarth.ac.in. On the basis of CUET scores, The English and Foreign Languages University cutoff 2022 will be released.
