How to prepare for BE Computer Science exams?

  1. BE Computer Science entrance exams mainly consist of questions from subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Some of them may also contain questions from English and GK as well.

The entrance examinations mostly have MCQ based questions and numeric type questions. The duration of most of the entrance tests will be 3 hours. Students can follow below-mentioned points to prepare for these exams-

  • It is always advised to start with the easiest subject in these exams. It is important to build your confidence in the initial stages.
  • Students should give equal importance to each and every section while preparing for the exam.
  • The students may maintain a separate notebook where all the important formulas and points are noted down for a quick revision.
  • Students should make sure that they are well versed with tricky chapters in Physics. Most of the difficult questions are generally asked from chapters like mechanics, optics, etc.
  • While preparing for the organic reactions, more emphasis should be given on the mechanism of the reaction. Most of the questions are asked from reaction mechanisms only.
  • Aspirants should write at least 10-15 mock tests before writing the actual examination.

Important Books to prepare for the entrance exam

  1. The below-mentioned books often prove to be helpful in the preparation process for these entrance exams:
  • NCERT Text Books
  • Concepts of Physics Vol 1 and Vol 2 by Dr H.C Verma
  • Objective Physics for JEE by D.C Pandey
