NEW DELHI: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is expected to release the schedule for the National Eligibility Entrance Test – Postgraduate (NEET PG) counselling 2024 in the near future. Candidates will have the opportunity to download the MCC NEET Postgraduate counselling 2024 schedule from the official website, mcc.nic.in. However, the specific date and time for the announcement of the NEET Postgraduate counselling schedule have yet to be disclosed by the MCC.

The committee initiated the registration process for the NEET Postgraduate 2024 round 1 counselling on September 20. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has yet to announce the date and time for the release of the NEET PG Schedule, despite ongoing requests from postgraduate medical aspirants for timely notifications due to delays in the academic calendar.

Various associations of medical students and groups of resident doctors have circulated a provisional NEET PG 2024 counselling schedule on social media; however, the MCC website continues to state that the “Postgraduate counselling schedule 2024 will be available soon.”

Candidates are permitted to submit only a single registration form for NEET-Postgraduate Counselling. Should it be discovered that a candidate has submitted multiple forms, they will face disqualification from the NEET-Postgraduate Counselling process, resulting in the cancellation of their candidature and potential further actions by the MCC of DGHS, MOHFW as deemed necessary.

The Supreme Court is set to hear the NEET Postgraduate case on October 25. Candidates who took the exam have filed a petition with the Supreme Court, requesting that the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) release the answer keys, response sheets, and raw scores. Students have raised concerns regarding the transparency of the examination process, noting that the board did not publish the NEET PG 2024 cut-off and implemented the normalization process for the first time.

The All India Quota (AIQ) counselling will comprise four rounds: Round 1, Round 2, Round 3, and the AIQ Stray Vacancy Round. A detailed schedule will be provided for each of these rounds.
