The timetable for the third round of MCC NEET UG Counselling 2024 has been revised, with the allocation of seats scheduled for October 12.
The committee has introduced a resignation option for students who received seats in earlier rounds. “We would like to inform all candidates that, in response to numerous requests from the counselling authority and candidates in Bihar, the competent authority has decided to extend the schedule for round-3 of UG counselling and to allow resignation for those who were allotted seats in round-2 of Bihar state counselling,” stated the MCC in an official announcement.
Medical aspirants who wish to relinquish their seats from the first or second round of MBBS and BDS counselling must do so by 1 pm on October 10. Candidates from round 1 who did not receive an upgrade in round 2 can resign from their seats without losing their security deposit, as long as they do so within the designated timeframe.
Candidates newly allotted seats in round 2 who accepted their placements but now wish to resign, as well as those who were upgraded in the second round and accepted the new seat but now want to withdraw, can resign with the forfeiture of their security deposit, provided they act within the specified resignation period.
All students must physically report to their assigned college to complete the resignation process. The MCC has urged students to ensure that their resignation letter is generated online through the portal provided by the MCC by the allotted college; otherwise, the resignation will be considered ‘Null & Void.’
Additionally, the counselling authority has reopened the PwD portal, which will remain accessible until 12 noon today.
