Apex University, also known as AU, is a private university which was established by Sanjay Shiksha Samiti in 2018 under Act No 27 of Rajasthan State Legislature. It is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The technical programmes offered by the University are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The University is also approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI), Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Desh Bhagat University, Fatehgarh Sahib was established under the Punjab Government's Desh Bhagat University Act. The University's founding spirit is derived from freedom fighter Sr. Lal Singh Ji, who fought for India's independence and was awarded the "Tamra Patra" by the Government of India in 1972 for his efforts in social work and his services in the freedom struggle.
