T John Institute Bangalore was founded by the son of philanthropist, educationist, and social worker, T John whose goal was to provide good quality general and professional education. Dr. Thomas P John, son of T John set up Marougen Education Foundation, as a Registered Society in 1988. The college is established with the intention of encompassing a variety of courses across different fields in order to enable professional success for students. T John Institute was then set up on a 20-acre land in 1993 that was donated by Sir T John to the Marougen Foundation.T John Group of institutes Bangalore imparts education in undergraduate and postgraduate courses across various professional strata. The objective of the institute is to provide a global perspective on each stream of education.  The institute aims at making students continuous learners by imparting quality education focused on innovation. Vivekananda College was established in 1971 by Swamiji Chidhbhavanandhaj. Vivekananda College is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) as an ‘A’ Grade college. Also, the college is recognised as a “College with Potential for Excellence” by the University Grant Commission (UGC). The college is affiliated with Madurai Kamaraj University. Vivekananda College follows the gurukula pattern and is a boy’s only college.
