Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad, Prayagraj (MNNIT) is an Institute with complete responsibility to quality and magnificence in scholarly interests. It was built up as one of the seventeen Regional Engineering Colleges of India in the year 1961 as a joint venture of Government of India and Government of Uttar Pradesh, and was a related school of University of Allahabad, which is the third most seasoned college in India. For a brief length of two years (2000-2002), the Institute was partnered to U.P. Specialized University. With more than 45 years of experience and accomplishments in the field of specialized training, having crossed far, on June 26, 2002 MNREC was changed into National Institute of Technology and Deemed University completely supported by Government of India. With the order of National Institutes of Technology Act-2007(29 to 2007), the Institute has been conceded the status of organization of national significance w.e.f. 15.08.2007. The Institute had started with offering Bachelor Degree Programs in Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. It was the first in the nation to begin an undergrad program in Computer Science and Engineering in 1976-77.
