Indian Institute of Information Technology, Pune OverviewThe Indian Institute of Information Technology, Pune was formed under the TYPE : Governments scheme of opening twenty new Indian Institutes of Information Technology in the country. It started its first academic session in July Established In : 2016 at a temporary campus. IIIT Pune was founded under the non-profit TYPE : Public TYPE : Private Partnership (PPP) method by the alliance of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) of the TYPE : Government of India, the TYPE : Government of Maharashtra, and some industry partners. It is presently being mentored by the TYPE : Government College of Engineering, Pune (COEP). The establishment of IIIT Pune was done to enhance the quality of Information Technology (IT) in all the job sectors in India. It aims at imparting excellent knowledge to students so that they can become experts in Information Technology and address all the challenges faced by the IT industry in India, therefore helping the IT market grow. IIIT Pune is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and its present Director is Dr. Anupam Shukla. The fact that it is a newly formed institute does not hold back IIIT Pune to become well known and demanded among the students.Being in the city of Pune, the institute promises a lot of opportunities and exposure as well. IIIT Pune is slowly making its way into the ranking of the top most engineering colleges. It had a good start with students from all across the country applying for admission and it is surely going to become one of the best engineering colleges in India. IIIT Pune is quite strict in admitting students and tries to get the best of the lot. It is very efficient in its curriculum and trains its students in accordance with the latest developments in the technical sphere.
