MIT Art, Design and Technology University, Pune OverviewMIT Art Design and Technology Univesity (MIT ADT) was established in the year 2016, June under the MIT Art, Design and Technology University Act, Established In : 2015. Due to the excellence in terms of education, the University, within only one year of its establishment, won the prize as “ the best university campus” at 10th National Education Excellence Awards, 2017. MIT ADT is a UGC recognised university which has been established under Act of State Legislature of Maharashtra as a TYPE : Private University. The university, since its 35 years of existence, has served quality education and has been awarded several prestigious awards for its state of the art campus and best-in-class education. MIT ADT believes in delivering the quality education to the students which should not be confined to just one stream but should be open to various educational streams. That is why, the MIT ADT offers a vast curriculum spread across a total of 7 streams, also known as the faculties including Faculties of Humanity and Social Science, Faculty of Technology, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Design, Faculty of Management and Leadership, Faculty of Maritime Academy and the Faculty of Arts, Performing Arts and Fine Arts. From the stream of technology to the stream of fine arts, MIT ADT has achieved the excellence of education in every sector. With thousands of UG, PG and doctorate level courses offered at the university, every year over 4000 new students get enrolled for admission at the campus, constituting of the present strength of the university as over 8500 students.MIT ADT is spread across an area of 125 acres at Vishwaraj Baugh Loni, Kalbhor, Pune which was also the land previously owned by Late Shree Raj Kapoor, the renowned Bollywood actor. The place at which the university is located along with the state of the art infrastructure is what made the university win the award as the best university campus within only one year if its establishment.The university, along with enhancing the knowledge of the students through experiential learning, also takes into consideration the exposure of students to learning through the participation in global events. Through the participation in these global events such as TESLA, Sports Meet, ROBOCON, etc. the students are provided with an opportunity where they can enhance and evaluate their practical knowledge and also learn new aspects of new world technologies in order to use their knowledge for the successful future.View MoreView Less
