Institute of Rural Management Anand was established in 1979 by Dr. Verghese Kurien as an autonomous institute. it is also known as IRMA Anand. The college is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an ‘A’ grade. The institute is also accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). IRMA Anand is spread over an area of 60 acres of land. As per the official website, the mission of the college is to promote the sustainable development of rural people through its professional management courses.

IRMA Anand P.G.D.M Rural Management programme is recognised as equivalent to a master degree in Rural Management by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Furthermore, it is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The institute offers courses in the field of management. The courses offered by the institute are P.G.D.M Rural Management, Executive P.G.D.M Rural Management and Fellow Programme in Rural Management. All courses are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Admission to the courses is as per the college admission process. The total number of faculty members at the Institute of Rural Management is 31 and the total number of students enrolled is 482. Thus, the student-teacher ratio at IRMA Anand is 16:1. The institute also has many clubs, committees and societies.

Many facilities like boys hostel, girls hostel, library, guest room, wi-fi, auditorium, classrooms, medical clinic, sports, gym, etc are provided by the Institute of Rural Management. The college also has a placement cell. The placement cell also conducts guest lectures, seminars, workshops, industrial visits, etc. IRMA Anand provides many scholarships to students. Some of them are SC Scholarships, ST Scholarships, IDFC First Bank M.B.A Scholarship, etc. The college also has many collaborations. IRMA Anand has been ranked 55 in the NIRF Ranking 2021 in the management category whereas it was ranked 72 in NIRF Ranking 2020 in the management category.

IRMA Anand PGDM (RM) Admission 2022

IRMA Anand offers an AICTE approved full-time PGDM-RM fully residential programme for the duration of 2 years. The basic eligibility and selection criteria of Indian Nationals for the PGDM (RM) 2022 – 24 programme are mentioned below.

IRMA Anand PGDM (RM) Eligibility

A Graduate from any discipline, with a minimum of 15 years of education and 50% or above (45% or above for SC/ST/Person with Disability) aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA at the graduation level is eligible to apply for IRMA’s PGDM (RM) 2022-24 programme.
The percentage of aggregate marks is to be calculated as per the practice followed by the concerned university or institution. If the university/institution does not have a scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, IRMA will establish the equivalence by dividing obtained CGPA with the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the resultant with 100.
Candidates in the final year of the bachelor’s degree may also apply if they would furnish evidence of meeting the minimum eligibility criteria by September 2022.
Final year candidates should have passed all of their graduation examinations before the start of the program (July 01, 2022). The candidates failing to meet the minimum eligibility criteria will be asked to withdraw from the programme.

Boys Hostel

There are several blocks of the hostels on the campus. Hostel rooms are well-furnished with a double bed, a water purifier, a kitchen, and a common room for recreational activities. High-speed and secured internet and network printers are also available in the hostels.
Girls Hostel

There are also girls hostels on the campus. Single rooms are available with attached bathroom, double bed, kitchen and water purifier. Recreational facilities are also provided in the hostel common room. Other IRMA Anand girls hostel facilities include wi-fi, network printers, etc.
Gym

IRMA Anand gym facilities include modern equipment for workouts.
Library

Institute of Rural Management library facilities include books, journals, reports, thesis, online databases, etc to facilitate learning and research activities.

The institute sports activity complex provides a well-maintained infrastructure for games like table tennis and badminton. Other sports like football, cricket, volleyball, basketball are also available.
