Jaypee University of Information Technology Solan (JUIT Solan) was established in the year 2002. It is a private co-educational institute. The campus is spread over 25 acres of land. JUIT Solan was conceived by a joint vision of the Government of Himachal Pradesh and the founder chairman of Jaypee Group Shri Jai Prakash Gaur in 2000. The academic activities commenced in the year 2002. JUIT Solan is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Jaypee University of Information Technology Solan is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The university has a total of 104 faculty members and the total student enrolled is 1804.

JUIT M.Tech Admission 2022

JUIT Solan offers M.Tech in 7 specializations. The basic eligibility criterion for admission is B.E./B.Tech/M.Sc in the relevant field with an aggregate of 60% or equivalent CGPA.

For admission to the M.Tech program, candidates must either appear for GATE or clear the Post Graduate Entrance Test (PGET) by JUIT. GATE qualified candidates can apply directly for admission while the non-GATE candidates should clear the PGET conducted by the university.

Candidates can apply for the exam on the university website and the test will be organized on June 29.

JUIT Solan offers Ph.D. in 8 specializations. Candidates should have completed their Master’s degree in the relevant field to be eligible for admission.

Admission to the Ph.D. program is based on the entrance test conducted by the university. The Ph.D. entrance exam will be conducted by the university in the month of June. Candidates can find the syllabus as well as other details pertaining to the exam on the university website.

Application to JUIT educational and doctoral programs can be done both in online and offline modes. Offline applications can be either downloaded from the website or directly availed from the university through a Demand Draft of INR 1200 (UG programs) or INR 1000 (PG/Ph.D. programs). Fill the application form and pay the application fee through credit/debit card/net banking.
Candidates will be given an Application ID number which must be saved for future references.
They will also have to upload their photograph and signature as well as their parents’ signature.
Candidates must send the printout of the application form to ‘Admission Cell, JIIT, Noida’.
Candidates who have opted for online application but paid through Demand Draft must send the form to ‘The Registrar, JIIT’.

JUIT follows the reservation policy of the state of Himachal Pradesh. In addition to that,

There is a 10% reservation for candidates belonging to the state of Himachal Pradesh if they completed their qualifying examination from the State.
SC/ST candidates shall be given a relaxation of 10% in the cut-off.
NRI candidates shall be given only the merit-based seats.
