Bahra University (Shimla Hills) was established in 2011 under the state legislature of Himachal Pardesh 2011 and has been approved by UGC under section 22 of the UGC Act of 1956. Bahra University also enjoys the esteemed membership of Association of Indian University’ (AIU) from the year 2015.

Within a short span of just 10 years, it has become the first choice of aspiring student for higher and professional courses in Himachal and adjoining states. “Library has a very active learning ambiance. It has one central Library and two departmental Libraries. It’s fully lined with internet and intranet. The library plays a vital role in furthering the academic and research mission and facilitates the creation and dissemination of knowledge. The library is the backbone of academic and research activities of the University. The library has been subscribing to over 110 national and international journals and magazines in print form. Subscription of various local, regional, and national newspapers in Hindi and English is the key part of the library. The library is fully computerized with the help of Library Management Software, known as ‘ALICE For WINDO’

Some of the key highlights of Bahra University Placement 2020 are as follows:

More than 350 companies visited the campus for placements.
The highest package offered in the placement drive was INR 25 LPA.
The highest placements were recorded in the Hotel Management School with 99%.
The average placement percentage for all the departments stood at 85%.

Bahra University Scholarships

Bahra University provides several scholarships to students in terms of fee waivers. The fee waivers may vary based on the merit scored by the candidate in the last qualifying examination. To avail the various scholarships offered by Bahra University, candidates need to have the required valid certificates. For the candidates seeking fee waiver on a merit basis, they need to have the respectively required mark sheet to claim the scholarship schemes.

The various scholarships schemes offered by Bahra University include:

Merit-Based Scholarships:
These scholarships are provided based on the marks scored in the last qualifying examination. However, the amount of fee waiver from the scholarship will vary with the marks scored by the candidate.

Scholarship for Defence Personnel:
