Garware Institute of Career Education and Development, Mumbai OverviewGarware Institute of Career Education and Development (GICED) was established after several proposals between the Mumbai University and the Garware Foundation to form an institute devoted to promote a career education. The Garware Foundation signed an agreement with the Mumbai University that gave birth to GICED as a unique institute to offer industry driven courses. It was established on 27th October, Established In : 1984 and was inaugurated by the then Chief Justice of India. The institute started offering regular diploma courses in Established In : 1958.Over the period of time, GICED started offering a number of courses that are industry driven and help students experience actual work conditions in employment. All programmes offered at the institute are aligned to the policy of National Skill Development corporation (NSDC) and National Skill Qualification Frame (NSQF). The educational courses offered at the institute educates students and provides them not only the knowledge but also skills. The courses are job oriented and help them with employment opportunities after the completion of the course.  Moreover, the institute has also collaborated with the other premier institutes for A grade courses. These collaborations include International Institute of Sports Management, Pawan Hans Limited, Ramesh Sippy Academy of Cinema & Entertainment, American Indian Foundation, and many others.The institute trains students to apply their knowledge, skills and practical learning for personal  and organizational goals.They visions to promote skills and increase employment in relevant fields. GICED aims to serve the nation by staying in the forefront of higher education through dissemination of knowledge.
