The National Overseas Scholarship is an Indian scholarship provided by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, India. Students from socially and economically backward classes can benefit from this scheme and get an opportunity to study abroad in an accredited and recognized university.
As mentioned earlier, the National Overseas Scholarship is valid at various universities in Canada, Germany, US, etc. Along with fulfilling the admission requirements of the chosen university, applicants are required to fulfill the eligibility criteria established for the scholarship scheme.

The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has implemented this scheme for the benefit of socially oppressed classes so that they can get the opportunity of studying abroad. The scheme also expects, under normal circumstances, that the students return to India after concluding their studies, and serve the country in a government office for a minimum of 5 years.
The Student Support Cell or the Placement Cell at S- VYASA gives detailed information to students applying for placement opportunities and works towards helping them have a flourishing career. Students have to register at the place cell and apply to various programmes according to the eligibility criteria. Selection of the students are purely based on their performance.
