Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani holds prominent recognition among all the top institutes of Technology/ Engineering and Sciences in India. In the NIRF Rankings 2021, BITS Pilani has been ranked at the 26th position in the Engineering category while at the 29th position in the overall category. BITS Pilani is quite popular for offering various engineering programs at undergraduate, postgraduate, and research/doctoral levels. Also, the institute has national collaborations with engineering institutes such as IIT Jodhpur, MNNIT Allahabad, and MNIT Jaipur. The most opted program at BITS Pilani includes B.E which is offered across several specializations in general and Honors.

Admission to the B.E program at BITS Pilani is offered on the basis of scores obtained by the candidates in the BITSAT entrance test conducted by the institute only. However, the basic fee structure of the B.E Programme at BITS Pilani ranges from INR 19 lakhs to INR 19.20 lakhs. Boys Hostel

The Institute is fully residential and hostel accommodation is provided to all students. There are eleven hostels for boys. The hostel rooms are fully furnished. Common room facilities with Cable TV and telephone are available in each hostel. Internet connectivity has been provided in all hostel rooms. Solar water heating systems are provided in all the hostels.
Girls Hostel

The Institute is fully residential and hostel accommodation is provided to all students. The one hostel complex for girls. The hostel rooms are fully furnished. Common room facilities with Cable TV and telephone are available in each hostel. Internet connectivity has been provided in all hostel rooms. Solar water heating systems are provided in all the hostels.
Gym

The health club is equipped with advanced exercising machines for weight training and the aerobic exercise floor.

The college has the library facility for all students.
Sports

Games and sports are organized through the Sports Club. The Institute has on its rolls Physical Director, Senior Coach, Life Saver (both male & female), Martial Art Instructor and other supporting staff. Facilities for the following games and sports are available: Football, Hockey, Cricket, Basketball, Volleyball, Tennis, Badminton, Table Tennis, Athletics, Gymnastics, Health Club, Swimming, Water Polo, Weightlifting etc. Besides organizing routine activities in above-mentioned sports, the Sports Club also conducts the BITS Open Sports Meet (BOSM) in the First Semester every year in which several outstation teams participate.

BITS Pilani Scholarship

A large number of scholarships, fellowships, and other financial assistance are available to the students of the institute.

Institute Merit and Merit-cum-Need Scholarships: Students admitted to Integrated First Degree Programmes are eligible to receive these awards. The merit awards cover reimbursement of full semester fees and admission fees for top ten students of each batch, and 50% or 25% semester and admission fees for those selected for Merit-Cum-Need awards.
Student Aid Fund: Some financial assistance may also be obtained from this fund. These awards are made normally in the second semester only.
EWYLP: Various schemes operate under the Earn While You Learn Programme (EWYLP) from which financial assistance is available.
