Birla Institute of Technology (BIT) Jaipur was established in 1995, and is affiliated to BIT Ranchi. It is approved by AICTE and UGC. BIT Jaipur offers admission in B.E, B.Sc., BBA, BCA, MBA, MCA, M.Sc. and Ph.D. admissions are both entrance and merit-based. Applications are accepted online.

Admissions to the B.E program are through Joint Seat Allotment Authority (JoSAA). The students are eligible to apply only if they pass 10+2 with PCM with 45% aggregate and have qualified JEE Main exam.

For BBA and BCA admissions students should have passed 10+2 with 50%. Admission is offered on the basis of merit.

MBA admissions are given to those students who qualify for either CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT entrance. The students are also required to score at least 50% in a bachelor’s degree in any field.

To be eligible for MCA admissions, students must qualify for MCA Online entrance along with 55% in B.Sc. degree with Mathematics as a compulsory subject. Students can also have a bachelor’s degree in Arts. Ph.D. admissions are based on an internal entrance exam and m=scores in master’s degrees.

Placements for 2017-18 were offered to 56 students from 23 companies. The highest package offered was INR 23 LPA while the average package was INR 6.47 LPA.

Admission to undergraduate programs is both entrance and merit-based followed by MAKAUT Counselling. Students must fulfill the basic eligibility criteria in order to get selected for admission.

Admission Process

JoSAA

Admission to B.Tech programs is offered through JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority). Students who have appeared for either JEE Mains or JEE Advanced must keep the following points in mind while registering:

Students having qualified JEE Mains are eligible to apply for seat allotment to NITs only.
While JEE Advanced qualified candidates can apply to all participating institutions.
Applicants can fill as many options while registering in the decreasing order.
In order to be considered for admission according to the given options, students must not forget to lock their choices. Once locked no changes can be made.
In total, there are 7 rounds for seat allocation where all institutions participate who are a part of it.
Finally, an acceptance fee must be paid for accepting the seat provisionally.
Students must appear at the nearest JoSAA center for document verification.

JEE Main Entrance

The application fee for taking this exam varies with the type of candidature. The application fee for the general category is INR 325. The following section throws light on the requirements and the process of registration for JEE Mains.

Documents Required

Scanned and recent photograph coloured or black/white (but clear contrast) JPG/JPEG format. Size should be between 10 kb to 200 kb.
Scanned signature in JPG/JPEG format. Size should be between 4 kb to 30 kb.
Application forms with unclear photographs will be rejected.

How to Register?

Visit the official website of JEE Main and click on “Fill Online Application Form”.
Register by giving your personal details, to generate a user id and password.
The application number will be generated after submitting the details for registration.
The form requires personal details, address, and mobile number.
You can set your security question and password to access the application for the future.
Submit the application form by logging in with the same user id and password that you had set.

Eligible candidates must complete and submit the application form online.
Pay non-refundable application fee of INR 2,500 (General/OBC candidates) and INR 1,500 (SC/ST candidates) through net banking/debit card/credit card..
The candidates may select a choice of maximum of three campuses, in order of preference from the prompt. No changes will be permitted later.
Candidates should fill the Online Application Form only after they satisfy all the eligibility criteria.
After submission, take printout as it will be required to be carried during GD & PI.

The College library has a good collection of text and reference books required for various courses. The college has sports facilities for all students. The institute has good facilities for sports, technical and cultural events. Three major events are organized every year for the development of these aspects. These are Vibrations (Cultural Event), TechVibes ( Technical Events), and Cavorts (Sports Event). BIT Jaipur campus Canteen operated on an outsourced contract basis and offers hygienic food services meeting the student satisfaction at a very competent price. It is Supervised by the committee of BIT students and staff members.
Auditorium
The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars. The College has Seminar Hall with 150 Capacity.
IT Infrastructure
The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students. The institute has a quality lab and software infrastructure. All required advanced lab equipment and software are available in the institute to conduct offered courses along with the equipment required for Mechanical Workshop.
