Jammu and Kashmir NEET Counselling 2021 registration process is expected to start soon. The authority had invited the candidates to submit their documents online in order to participate in the counselling process. In the response of which JK-BOPEE has received documents from 156 candidates who have applied for inclusion of their Roll numbers in NEET 2021 list of candidates belonging to the UT’s of J&K / Ladakh for their registration after surrendering their participation in All India Quota Seats. Check Here

NEET Counselling 2022: For 15% All India Quota

  1. The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Government of India holds the Counselling for 15% All India Quota Seats.
  2. 100% deemed, central universities will participate in online MCC NEET counselling 2022.
  3. Seats of ESIC and AFMC, BHU & AMU will also be filled through 15% AIQ NEET Counselling.
  4. Candidates will apply for 15% All India Quota seats as per the directions of DGHS and seats left vacant after 2 rounds of Counselling will be adjusted in mop-up round.
  5. Those candidates who take part in All India Counselling can also participate in State Counselling of their respective states.

NEET Counselling 2022: For 85% State Quota Seats

For State quota and all private college seats falling under the ambit of states, candidates may apply to their domicile states and a merit list as per State rules and based on All India Rank will be prepared by concerned Counselling Authorities.

  1. The counselling for Private Medical Colleges is also conducted by the concerned State Counselling Authority.
  2. Candidates need to register on their concerned state’s counselling websites.
  3. Counselling will be conducted on the basis of the candidate’s rank in the state merit list.
  4. Admission to colleges in J&K, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will be done solely on the basis of state counselling.

NEET Counselling 2022: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates qualifying NEET 2022 are eligible to apply for counselling

  • Candidates with a minimum of 50th percentile (40th percentile for SC/ ST/ OBC and 45th percentile for general-physically handicapped) in NEET will be considered qualified in the exam.
  • Further, the ministry releases a list of qualified candidates under All India Quota excluding candidates from Jammu and Kashmir to take part in 15% AIQ Counselling.
  • Candidates have to register themselves on the MCC website to become eligible for the counselling process. 

NEET Counselling 2022: Instructions for Candidates Claiming NRI Status

Candidates who claim to be NRI, as per the directions/ orders of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India should send their relevant documents in support of their claim to change nationality from Indian to NRI.

  1. Candidates can email the required documents at ug.nri.mcc@gmail.com as per the schedule.
  2. Candidates are also advised to be in touch with the MCC website for further courses of action.
  3. Mails received before/ after the above mentioned time will not be considered.
  4. Candidates are advised to send all documents enclosed in single mail only.

​The following documents are required to be sent in order to change the category from Indian to NRI.

  1. Documents claiming that the sponsorer is an NRI i.e. Passport, Visa of the sponsorer.
  2. Relationship of NRI with the candidate.
  3. Affidavit from the sponsorer that he/ she will sponsor the entire course fee of the candidate.
  4. Embassy Certificate of the Sponsorer or Certificate from the Consulate.
  5. NEET 2021 Score Card of the candidate

NEET Counselling 2022: Eligibility Criteria for Central Universities

Given below is the eligibility criteria to appear for NEET Counselling 2022 in central universities- AMU, BHU, JMI, DU.

 

  1. Delhi University (LHMC, UCMS, MAMC): – 15% of Seats will be contributed to AIQ. The 85% institutional quota seats will only be for those candidates who have studied 11th & 12th grade in Delhi.
  2. Aligarh Muslim University (AMU):- The university will give 50% Institutional reservation to the candidates who have studied in their school in the last three years and 50% to other candidates who have qualified NEET. 
  3. BHU:- All the candidates are eligible to take admission in BHU after qualifying NEET. 
  4. Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi: There will be an internal quota of 3 seats in BDS for those students who have passed class 10 or 12 from their school. The remaining 47 BDS seats will be open to all.

OCI Candidates NEET Counselling Criteria

Supreme Court on Sept 29, 2021 had passed an order regarding the participation of OCI candidates in the counselling process. From 2021 onwards, OCI candidates can apply under the Open Category seats at par with Indian citizens. Earlier OCI candidates apply for the counselling process under NRI seat/ quota category and the pool of those seats is very low, therefore, petitions have asked the court to allow them under Open Category.

Increase in NEET MBBS Colleges and Seats

There will be around 300 medical colleges under AIQ counselling. In 2021, the number of medical colleges participating in AIQ counselling were increased. The number of seats is expected to increase again for NEET UG 2022 Counselling. The increase in the number of colleges and seats will prove beneficial for candidates. MCC will release the seat matrix for NEET UG Counselling before each round.

NEET Counselling 2022: Documents Required

The following documents will be required during the NEET Counselling. Candidates must carry original documents along with attested photocopies to the counselling process: 

  1. NEET Admit Card
  2. NEET Result/Rank Letter
  3. Class X Certificate and Marksheet 
  4. Class XII Certificate and Marksheet
  5. 8 passport sized photographs (Same as the one affixed on the application form)
  6. NEET Seat Allotment letter
  7. Proof of Identity (Aadhar card/PAN card/Passport/ Driving License)
  8. Category Certificate (if applicable)

NEET Counselling Procedure 2022

Candidates can check the procedure of NEET 2022 counselling – 

Step 1: Registration for NEET Counselling

MCI conducts the counselling to fill 15% All India Quota Seats in two rounds followed by a mop-up round. Stray vacancy round may also be conducted if any seats remain vacant. The steps involved in NEET Counselling Registration are as follows:

Step I: Visit the official website of MCC and click on ‘New Registration’.

Enter Roll Number, Application Number, Candidate name, Mother Name, Date of Birth, Mobile Number, Email ID and Security Pin as per your admit card. After entering all the required information, a new Roll No. and Password will be generated. Use these credentials to register for NEET Counselling.

Step II: Log on to the MCC website and click on ‘Candidate login’.

Step III: Enter your Roll Number and Password.

Step IV: You will be redirected to a new page where you will have to enter details like Name, Roll No., Registration No., Mother’s Name, Contact No., etc. When you’re done, click on ‘Submit’.

Step V: After this, you will be shown all your details as per the NTA database. Verify the information and click on ‘Confirm Registration’. A Registration Slip will be generated. Candidates are advised to save this page.

Step 2: NEET Counselling Fee Payment

After successful registration, candidates are asked to submit refundable and non-refundable NEET 2022 counselling fees. The fee can be paid through an online medium like Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking. Candidates can check NEET counselling fee 2022 in the table given below-

Step 3: Exercising Option Entry and Locking

Choice Locking facility is available for a specific time period on a given day.

  1. In this step, candidates are required to submit preferences. You should fill the choices keeping in mind your scores as admission is granted on the basis of merit i.e. NEET score and preferences submitted during the counselling process.
  2. You can view the list of colleges on the screen and fill in as many choices as you want.
  3. Post filling the choices in the list, candidates can arrange them in order of their preference by moving them up or down, interchange choices and deleting choices.
  4. Once you’re done, enter your password and click on ‘Lock Choices’.
  5. Candidates are not allowed to make any changes after locking their choices so be very careful in your selection.
  6. After locking, they can take a printout of the locked choices which will include locking date and time, IP Address of computer and system-generated Unique no.

Step 4: Release of Seat Allotment Result

MCC releases seat allotment result after each round of counselling. It is released in the form of a list followed by the issue of seat allotment letter to the selected candidates. Candidates must report to the allotted colleges with the allotment letter and other documents to finish the admission process. Candidates can check  NEET 2022 Seat Intake to know the number of seats offered by different colleges.

Ans: NEET Counselling 2022 will begin with the release of the official notification by MCC. Last year, there was a delay in conducting NEET UG counselling due to the Supreme Court case on the provision of 27% reservation to OBC and 10% to EWS candidates in the AIQ seats. 

Ans: The non refundable NEET Counseling fee that needs to be paid for AIQ counselling by the open category candidates will be INR 1,000 and for the reserved category it is INR 500. 

Ans: NEET Counselling 2022 is expected to be conducted by MCC in 4 rounds including mop-up and stray vacancy rounds. 

Ans: Candidates who clear NEET cut off 2022 will be eligible for AIQ and State level counselling. 15% AIQ counselling will be conducted by MCC and 85% state counselling will be conducted by respective state authorities on their official websites. 

Ans: NEET seat allotment letter is required to complete the admission process. After the completion of the seat allotment process if a candidate is satisfied with his/ her seat then they can download the letter and report at the allotted college for document verification. 

Ans: The Mop Up round in NEET counselling is the 3rd round and is only conducted for candidates which did not get seats in round 1 and round 2 of counselling.

Disability Certificate for NEET Counselling 2022

Candidates can approach the Disability Centres designated by MCC of DGHS across India to obtain a Disability Certificate after getting their disability assessed at the centre in order to avail the benefit of 5% PwD reservation in medical courses. Candidates are requested to arrange for issuing of Disability Certificates for 21 Benchmark Disabilities so that inconvenience is not caused to the candidates.
