In 1993 a young man with just twenty nine thousand and loads of determination embarked on a mission to transform the higher education landscape of the Doon valley. Graphic Era Deemed to be University is the culmination of the vision of its founder, Prof (Dr) Kamal Ghanshala, who had the dream to change the destiny of thousands of youth, through quality and holistic education and his vision took a concrete shape in the form of Graphic Era Institute in 1996.

In 2008, the Institute was accorded the status of Deemed University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 vide Notification F.9-48/2007-U.3 (A) dated August 14, 2008 and approved by Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. In 2015 Graphic Era University was accredited by NAAC with grade ‘A’.

University has acquired transnational dimensions through student exchange and knowledge sharing programs with many foreign universities and has been acclaimed and honored at international forums for its brilliance in upholding the highest standards of education. With recognition from prestigious institutions, Graphic Era University is setting new benchmarks in education. It has taken big initiative in engineering programs by getting into Partnerships with Tata Technologies and IBM to create next age Engineering Professionals through Industry Collaborations. Graphic Era (Deemed to be University) has been conferred All-India NIRF Rank 75 in the Engineering Category, thus being accorded as the highest-ranked Engineering University in Uttarakhand, after IIT Roorkee, in the MHRD NIRF (National Institutional Ranking Framework) Rankings in Septemeber 2021. The University has also been awarded All India Rank 98 in the University Category and All India Rank 64 in Management Category, establishing GEU as the highest-ranked university in Uttarakhand amongst all Government and Private universities in the state.

Graphic Era University B.Tech Admission 2022

At the undergraduate level, Era University provides Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) programme to the aspiring candidates who want to pursue their career in the field of Engineering. The course is offered for four years. Apart from B.Tech (Biotechnology), to get admission in rest of the courses candidates need to have a 10+2 level or equivalent degree with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as main subjects with a minimum 60% marks in aggregate, to be considered eligible for the concerned course.

The admission in all of the specializations in B.Tech programme except the Biotechnology is done on the basis of rank secured in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main).

Candidates seeking admission in B.Tech (Biotechnology) will be selected based on the marks scored in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in 10 + 2 level exam.

Graphic Era University UG Admission 2022: BA, B.Com, BBA, BCA, BHM & B.Sc

At the UG level, the university offers a cluster of UG courses in the fields of Arts, Science, Commerce, Business Administration, Computer Application and Hotel Management under multiple specializations. Duration of all the Undergraduate programmes is three years.

Candidates must need to hold a 10+2 level degree to get admission in the concerned courses offered by the institute to accomplish the eligibility criteria for UG programmes. Few of the courses demand PCB/PCM in 10+2 level examination. The candidates seeking admission in Information Technology under B.Sc programme need to hold 10 + 2/ Equivalent from a recognized Board / Institution in any stream with minimum 50%.

For admission to B.Com and B.Sc, candidates have to go through a personal interview round after being shortlisted in the merit round. The authority of the university conducts the whole admission procedure. Graphic Era University M.Tech Admission 2022

Graphic Era University offers Master of Technology (M.Tech) degree at postgraduate level with the duration period of two years.

Admission to all of the specializations to the M.Tech course (except Computer Science Engg in M.tech Part Time) is done by national level The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), an examination that primarily tests the comprehensive understanding of various undergraduate subjects in engineering and science.

Graphic Era University provides two more programmes at the postgraduate level; those are Master of Science (M.Sc) focusing on the area of Science with multiple specializations and Master of Computer Application (MCA), designed to meet the growing demand for qualified professionals in the field of Information Technology (computer software). The M.Sc programme is of two years while the duration of MCA is three years.

Candidates must need to hold a B.Sc degree from a recognized university to fulfill the eligibility criteria of Biotechnology and Microbiology. Applicants interested in Information Technology need to hold a graduation degree in relevant discipline for appealing in the concerned course. Aspiring candidates for MCA need to have a graduation degree in any stream with Maths at (10+2) level or at Graduation level, are considered eligible to get admission in MCA programme.

The admission in M.Sc programme will be based on merit. The admission in MCA programme is done as per the marks obtained in UPTU-SEE/ UTU-SEE/ Qualifying Exam.

Graphic Era University MBA and MHM Admission 2022

Graphic Era University alos offers Master of Hotel Management (MHM) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a duration of two years in each.

Candidates need to hold graduation or equivalent degree from a recognized University or College can be eligible for the concerned programmes. Only the eligible candidates can apply for the relevant courses.

The applicants seeking admission in MHM programme will be required to appear for an entrance test followed by interview and counseling before admission in the concerned course. Candidates searching for admission in MBA programme will be admitted by merit list prepared on the basis of CAT/MAT/XAT score followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

Graphic Era University Ph.D Admission 2022

At the doctoral level, the university offers Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) programme under multiple specializations.

Candidates need to hold a Master’s Degree from any AIU/UGC/AICTE recognized University/ Institutions with minimum of 55% marks or CGPA of 5.5 on a 10 point scale in the qualifying examination or any other qualification recognized as equivalent thereto in the fields of study notified from time to time by the University, to be eligible for the concerned course.

Admissions in Ph.D programme is made on the basis of GATE/NET/SLET scores or written test followed by an interview by the Department concerned. Applications for admission to Ph.D programmes in various departments of our university will be invited in the month of May/June of the current year.

Note: There is a 5% marks relaxation for the candidates belonging to SC/ST to be eligible for the concerned course.

Graphic Era University has 25 acres of beautiful campus located in the scenic Dehradun Valley. The University library, named after a well-known Hindi poet Shri Santosh ananad, is well stocked with around 5300 titles, 72000 volumes of books, a book bank, National Journal and International online Journals as IEEE, ACM, ASME, ASCE, IEEE Proceedings, McGraw Hillebooks. Library is computerized with its OPAC system, bar-coding, identity cards, etc, and uses Libsuite software. There is a separate block in the Library for the staff and students to access internet. Library is also equipped with ebooks, e-journals, e-newspapers, other e-learning resources, computing facility, software’s and other equipments. Segregated sections exist in library for various courses. The Library is fully automated using ERP Software.

The campus has facilities for indoor games such as badminton, billiards, carrom, and table tennis are available. In addition to this, sports week is organised for students for full participation with enthusiasm.
