Shri Shikshayatan College was planned by its introduction father, Late Sitaram Seksaria as an associate extension of Gandhiji’s nationwide Constructive Programme, clench the release and welfare of the Indian girls. It began its journey with the blessings of Pandit Vidhu Shekhar Shastri, the internationally far-famed scholar of Indian Thought and Culture. Since then, it’s traversed a protracted path keeping pace with the growing wants of a quick dynamical society.

Shri Shikshayatan College was supported on the eighth Gregorian calendar month, 1955 for ladies beneath affiliation to the University of the urban center. Established by the Marwaris, a linguistic minority, it’s administered and managed by Shikshayatan Foundation – (Formerly called Marwari Balika Vidyalaya Society -registered beneath the Societies Registration Act) that runs it alone for academic and not for industrial functions.

As a linguistic minority, it enjoys protection beneath Article 30(1) of the Constitution of Bharat. Originally meant for conveyance and promoting education among the ladies of the Marwari community, it’s over the years, opened its doors, in response to pressures for admission, to all or any eligible lady students no matter caste, creed, faith or language.

The College aims at conveyance liberal education that helps in developing the whole temperament of scholars and in transfer regarding well-rounded growth of their temperament and creating them self sustaining. the College is committed to maintaining a decent tutorial customary during a non-politicized atmosphere.

The college offers B.A across seven disciplines, B.Sc(H) across five disciplines, B.Com(H) across twelve disciplines along with B.Ed in a couple of subjects. Girls Hostel

The college has hostel facilities for the students. The hostel rooms are spacious and offer convenient accommodation to the students.

To ensure the physical fitness of the students is maintained, the college has a modern gym at the campus.
Library

The college’s library has more than 42,000 books and an ample number of journals, magazines and newspapers. The library also possesses digital resources for the students. The B.Ed Department of the college has a separate library as well.

The campus has a volleyball court, basketball court and an indoor common room. The indoor common room of the college has fully air-conditioned. Indoor games like table tennis, carrom board etc. facilities are available at the indoor common room.

Shri Shikshayatan College has a modern auditorium where various events are held. The institute also has a modern seminar hall with a seating capacity of 105 people.

To provide first aid facilities to students and staff members, Shri Shikshayatan College has a medical centre at the campus. The medical centre has trained medical officers.

Shri Shikshayatan College Placement

SSC takes the utmost care in training its students for making them job-ready. There is a separate training and placement cell in collaboration with OMNIFIN having a qualified placement officer who collaborates with various companies for industrial training as well as for placements both for on-campus and off-campus. Different training activities are arranged for students to improve their soft skills coupled with interview preparation for various jobs especially Govt. examinations.

The placement team helps the students in every possible way to get internships and placements. Campus placements usually take place for 3rd-year students. Around 60-70 % of students get placed during campus interviews. Workshops are arranged to help students get acquainted with the latest trends in the industry.
