Exploring the Campuses of NBCC
The College has six campuses across New Brunswick –
Fredericton (with head office)
- Located on the University of New Brunswick campus.
- Offers programs in areas of Business, Health, Engineering, Information Technology and Social Service
- Accommodates up to 400 students.
Moncton
- One of the largest campuses,
- Offers around 40 regular programs along with apprenticeships and night courses.
- Offers recreational activities like skiing, barbecues, social nights, etc. for students.
Miramichi
- Offers 25 regular programs in the areas of Applied and Media Arts, Business, Environmental, Health, Social and Protective Services and Trades.
- Located near the river Miramichi
- Cultural offerings for its students such as the Spring Fling and the Pumpkin Festival.
Saint John
- One of NBCC’s largest campuses
- several programs including 30 regular full-time programs

Housing Facilities in NBCC
The college does not have its own housing facility. But, it provides international students with an option for homestays and related custodianship services in partnership with the Canada Homestay Network.

All You Need to Know About the Application Process
Prerequisites
International candidates must demonstrate English-language proficiency. For this they must have-
- English as their first language or
- A minimum of three years of secondary school education in English or
- A minimum of one year of postsecondary education in English
In case candidates don’t meet the above requirement, they must prove their proficiency by taking one of the below-mentioned tests and obtaining the indicated score:
- TOEFL iBT- 80 with no component score less than 20
- IELTS- 6.0 with no band less than 5.5
- MELAB- 80
- Cambridge English- 169
- CAEL- 60
- PTE- 65 with no component score less than 60
- CanTEST- 4.5 with no subtest less than 4.0
How, When and Where to apply?
- Fill out and submit the application form online and pay the application fee
- Candidates must also submit secondary and postsecondary education transcripts along with an interpretation of the grading system and English-language test scores
Application Fee
- After receiving the acknowledgment letter and/or the letter of acceptance, the students need to submit a $100 CAD registration deposit to hold their place in the program chosen.
- Registration for classes should be made online using the mymhc.ab.ca (student information system) or offline at the Registration Office.
What it Costs to Study in NBCC?
Candidates will have to show a proof of finance while applying for student visa. The tuition fee for full-time students is explained below (all values in CAD):

Scholarships and Financial Aid
The New Brunswick Community College Foundation offers over CAD 300,000 in scholarships, awards and bursaries annually. The eligibility requirements are-
- Must be a full-time student at NBCC
- Must demonstrate financial need
- Must be enrolled in a regular program or contract training program of a minimum duration of one year

Work While You Study
On Campus
The College does not offer on-campus jobs.
Off-Campus
Students can also work off campus while studying at the College. They will have to fulfil the following conditions.
- Must be a full-time student
- Have a valid study permit
- Maintain satisfactory academic standing in your specific program of study for at least six out of the twelve months preceding your application to work off campus
- Have applied for the off-campus work permit program at the College
Co-op Work Permit
If you are enrolled in one of the co-op programs offered by the College, you must apply for a separate co-op permit to be able to pursue your internship during the work term of your program.
