Also known as Julius-Maximilians-University, the University of Wuerzburg is a public university situated in the Wuerzburg region of Germany. It was established 600 years ago in 1402, making it one of the oldest universities in Germany. JMU was the sixth institution of higher education in earlier Germany. The university has given many famous scholars and scientists that include 14 Nobel laureates, including Wilhelm Conrad Rontgen and Emil Fischer.

  1. The Humboldt University of Berlin offers a total of 189 degree courses and 9 faculties. Some of the top programs offered by the university are Arts and Humanities, Life Sciences, Social Sciences, Education and Psychology.
  2. The Humboldt University of Berlin is divided into three campuses, namely Campus Adlershof, Campus Mitte, and Campus Nord.
  3. On-campus housing is not provided; however, the university helps the students in finding accommodation off-campus.

The students need to apply through Uni-Assist application portal for the university.

Each applicant has to pay the application fee of 75.00 Euro at the time of application.

  1. Authentic copies of educational certificates attained until now
  2. Enrolment certificate
  3. Certificate of ex-matriculation
  4. German translations of all certificates excluding the documents in English
  5. CV beginning with the start of school education until now
  6. A recent passport-sized photo
  7. The UNI-ASSIST receipt as a proof of fees paid
  8. A photocopy of the passport (validation is not necessary)
  1. The applicant’s proficiency in German will be assessed in the DSH test.
  2. To be considered qualified for the DSH, applicants have to demonstrate proof of their proficiency in German is no less than the C1 level as said by the Common European Frame of Reference.
  3. A minimum score of 3 points in all 4 parts of the TestDaF examination can be also taken as evidence for the necessary level for the application.
  4. Minimum English proficiency test scores required are – IELTS – 6.5 or TOEFL – 100 (iBT) and 600 (PBT) (if applicable).
  • Students are provided with financial assistance in the form of student loans, scholarships, and work-study options.

  • DAAD Scholarship – There are organziations which provide scholarship, amongst those, DAAD is one of the biggest. One can find a scholarship suitable.

  • Deutschlandstipendium – It provides fund for 300 Euro monthly for 2 semesters. Money may come from government or private sponsors.

  • Research in Germany – It provides scholarships for the students at master’s level or above.
