Gujarat University, Ahmedabad: Gujarat University was established in 1949 under the Gujarat University Act as a ‘teaching and affiliating University.’ Since then, It has been given a B++ ranking by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council). The University caters to the needs of the higher-level education of more than 2,00,000 students enrolled in 235 colleges, 15 recognized institutions, and 24 approved institutions. There are a total of 34 PG University departments and 221 PG Centers.

Charotar University of Science and Technology, [CHARUSAT] Anand: The Charotar University of Science and Technology [CHARUSAT] started with the name Education Campus – Changa in 2000. The university started with the establishment of the Charotar Institute of Technology. It is approved by NBA, AICTE, PCI, and INC. It is accreditated by NAAC with an ‘A’ grade. The University has a campus spread across an area of 105 acres with separate hostels for boys and girls. The University provides placements opportunities as well with 64 programs from UG to PhD. The Faculty Members and Students of CHARUSAT hold 5 Patents and 14 more are filed and currently, 232 Research Scholars are pursuing their PhD. 

Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Gujarat: The Maharaja Sayajirao Univerity was established in 1949 and is a teaching and residential university recognized by UGC. MSU of Baroda is spread over 275 acres of land, separated into various campuses. The University has Shrimati Hansa Mehta Library with a collection of over 25,000 books, well equipped Computer Centre including internet and other facilities. Maharaja Sayajirao University is both a residential-cum-teaching university. Nirma University, [NU] Ahmedabad: Nirma University was established in 1994 as Nirma University of Science and Technology. In 2003, It is recognized as a deemed to University by the Government of Gujarat. The university has also been recognized by the University Grants Commission or UGC. Nirma University spread over an area of 110 acres of beautifully landscaped area. The campus is one of the most impressive ones in the country. The university has a world-class infrastructure in form of auditoriums, classrooms, computer laboratories, seminar rooms, libraries, hostels, canteens, etc which facilitate teaching-learning processes and delight students, faculty, corporate visitors, foreigners, and parents. Gujarat National Law University, Gandhi Nagar: Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) is the statutory university that was established in 2003 by the Government of Gujarat. The University is recognized by the Bar Council of India (BCI) and the University Grants Commission (UGC). The University is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and the University is functioning as a nodal agency to uplift legal education in the State. Gujarat National Law University has a well-equipped library which contains books relating to various subjects, a computer laboratory with an internet connection consisting of around 40 computers.

Indian Institute of Technology, [IIT] Gandhinagar: Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar – IIT Gandhinagar is one of the new IITs started from the year 2008-09. Currently, the Institute is operating from the premises of the Vishwakarma Government Engineering College. IIT Gandhinagar currently offers a B. Tech program in Chemical, Electrical, and Mechanical engineering disciplines.  The Institute has world-class facilities in terms of classrooms, faculty offices, laboratory spaces, etc. The Institute currently has over 493 students, 60 faculty members, and 66 staff members.

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Institute of Technology, [SVIT] Gujarat: Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology – SVNIT Surat was established in the year 1961. It is known as one of the 17 Regional Engineering Colleges that were set as a joint venture of the Government of India and the Government of Gujarat. The University is spread across 100 hectares of land on the Surat-Dumas Highway. The college has well established Central Learning resource centres like Central Library, Entrepreneurship Development Cell, Continuing Education Centre, Central Computer Centre, and Physical Education Section. Ahmedabad University, [AU] Ahmedabad: Ahmedabad University (AU) was established in 2009. It is promoted by the Ahmedabad Education Society (AES) and is a self-financed, non-affiliating State Private University established by the Gujarat Private Universities Act. The Ahmedabad University campus is centrally located in the heart of the city, neighbouring premium educational institutes such as ATIRA, IIM, PRL, etc. This provides a thriving academic ambience and total land of 250 acres available for the development of Ahmedabad University. About 70 acres have been earmarked for intensive expansion for academic buildings and student amenities. This will house a total of 10 Schools and around 22000 students in the next 7 years.

Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Surat: Veer Narmad South Gujarat University was established in the year 1967 as South Gujarat University. It was renamed as ‘Veer Narmad South Gujarat University in 2004 after the famous Gujarat poet Veer Narmad whose was originally known as Narmadshankar Lalshankar Dave. The University is recognized by University Grants Commission in 1968 and was awarded B++ by the NAAC in 2004.
